It's just a bunch of companies using a fake a** number to cover up their own number so you all wont call them back.

They want to call you about 43085345739473298 times a day to either scare you all with the whole striaght-0 thing [ooooh, spooooooky!!!] or piss you all off, just like people who use the 666-666-6666 number.

I got the call from 1-000-000-0000 for the first time today, 5:27pm Chicago time. Normally I wouldn't answer it because a) I'm at work, and b) I'm expecting a couple of important calls today. The woman asked for me by the last name I had when I was still married. I told her she had the wrong number (which actually is true - that isn't my name anymore).

Are these guys a collection agency? What gives?

I just recieved this call, for the 10th time this week, and when I answered, it was a telephone poll with a free cruise as a prize. Yeah right. Now to block this number...

I also have had 000-000-0000 appear on my caller id for the last few years and I do not answer them. Today I answered a call from Love C, 231-732-2272, thinking it was a residential number I answered it only to have a solicitation recording on the other end. After I hung up, I tried to call my husband.  My husbands number appeared on the caller id as I dialed, but I was rerouted to the 231-732-2272 number.  I am not sure if this is skiptracing or what in order to obtain numbers of people you call.  Best bet, don't answer these numbers.  Since the caller id was made to help us identify callers and to avoid callers we do not want to talk to, it seems like solicitors are using numbers to resemble a residential number in order to get you to answer the phone.

I started getting calles from this number almost immediately after I dropped my service with AOL and yes, each time, it's AOL trying to get me to come back.  This is insane...they have no scruples and have called as early as 6:30 on a Saturday morning and as late as 11:30 at night.

I get one of these calls every other day.  I can't seem to block it and the few times I have answered it, no one on the other end says anything.  How do you make it stop?!

There was a radio show about these calls early this morning.  Often these are computer dialed calls to determine if it's a live number.  If you pick up, the computer then hangs up and send your number to a few hundered telemarketers.  Other companies use this to hide their caller ID...a shameful practice if you ask me.

yep i got a call from 1-000-000-0000, maybe it is a quick signal download when you pick up the phone. The signal beyond our hearing range plays and signals something in your mind activating parts of your brain that where once dormant through DNA programming. interpreting vibrations beyond sound and feel.

just a thought in a pond...

Just got a call from this number at 7:40pm.   Somebody claiming I won a free cruise!!.  I just hung up.  Nobody gives you anything for free nowadays.

This has been the 3rd person who's called me within the past hour trying to sell me something or give something away.  I can't wait until September when the Canadian Government introduces that new "Do not call" list.

Received numerous calls from this number during recent elections.  Didn't answer in the beginning, but became curious.  It was a research company with questions about a local election.

I've only gotten one of these calls on my cell, and since I missed it I have no idea who/what is on the other end.  I've also gotten a couple calls on my house phone from this number, but when I see the caller ID as 000-000-0000, I just think it's crap so I lift the receiver and put it back down again.  A couple times it has called back immediately, so I do the same thing again.

I have been getting these annoying calls too the last couple of weeks and the 2 calls that I answered I started hearing like a recording saying this is a collect call from an astrologist or something like that, I hung up immediately both times and now I don't answer it anymore.  Funny thing that I'm never into this kind of stuff....

I recieved a call from 000-000-0000 at 9:39 on Sunday March 30th.  I didnt answer it and allowed them to leave a message.  On the message left, was a website and a case number.  Website was www.forwardingnotice.com.  I went there and entered the case number I was given and the call was from a "CCS"...a collection agency on behalf of Columbia House DVD Club.  A club inwhich I was NEVER a member!

The number to contact CCS is 800-419-0724.  I called them and the recording said to call during normal business hours.  What a rip off - maybe they should only call people during normal business hours!

Just wanted to let everyone know!

THANK YOU!
I've been getting those same calls. They've been scaring the @#$@ out of my wife because we're going through some legal trouble and she thought a lawyer was playing tricks.
I wish there was a way to make everybody use a little common sense.
