Just got a phone call with this number, didnt answer it because...well, for obvious reasons. They actually left a message, looking for me. I was confused as hell. Called back at the number that was given to me...

Apparently, a company called Convergys uses this number too. Any way, they wanted to hire me. I dont exactly recall having applied to the company, but given I've put in a ton of online apps, so I dont remember any of the names. I didnt like the fact that they called with a spoofed number and the fact that the guy who left the message spoke REALLY fast and garbled the company's name. Think of me what you will, but I turned it down because of that.

I got a call from this number at 6:55 PM. Either Spoofcard, TeleSpoof or one of these spoofing websites could be responsable for this call.
First, you hit one of these websites. Then you enter your phone #. Then you enter the phone # you want to call. Then you enter the phone # you want to appear on the CID of the person you're calling. I know this because it has been happening frequently to all my friends. We have been researching this latest fad, which is really quite old. A group of people in the downtown area of Ottawa, think that it may be a crooked superintendent that lives and manipulates tenants at 178 Nepean St. and has no conscience. Judging by the look of the building he supposidly cares for (compared to all the other well cared for buildings in the area), the rummors appear to be true that all this man does is play on his computer. If it is this man preparing these type of calls to be sent to people in this area, we believe this should should stop. We may be mistaken, but we believe it to be a superintendent who calls himself Nelson J. Cashen. He would know all about this stuff because he claims to be a website reseller and has his name and false educational credits pasted all over the internet.

We keep recieving incoming calls on our company phone, and the voicemail says 000-000-0000. When I answer, nobody says anything, and they hang up. How annoying, and how cowardly. I wanna block it, but the *60 won't allow it. What can I do?

They KEEP calling my business so finally I just answered. It was a woman asking for the woman who had this place before me 3 years ago. I told her there's no one here by that name and she said you don't have to be rude you nasty [***] TO ME, the person she's calling and bothering!

How can these companies get away w/bogus all 0 phone numbers? Apparently money bought it's way past the Do Not Call list and since they are totally anonymous they can now swear at and harrass you. What can be done about this?

    A Friend
My friend got a call from this fake CID # 000-000-0000 at 2:57 PM this afternoon (Friday 03, Oct. 2008) just after I left to go and visit him.
I may be wrong, but I believe it is our superintendent using spoofcard or
the telespoof websites to make these calls every time I go to visit him.
It is this superintendent's only way of harassing tenants he likes to try and intimidate. He has a big problem now down here at Bank & Nepean.
His phone calls are being monitored now to determine how many times he pulls this off.

I don't answer calls that I don't know the number for.  Of course, 000-000-0000 is not a real number, but how do people get away with this is beyond me.

I get this call about once per week right now.  Hopefully, they will stop soon.

Got call again at 3:35 PM just after I had returned from visiting my friend.
This time I answered this stupid call. I heard the horn of a cruise ship blasting away and a man saying that I won a trip. It was recorded! You could not hang up from this call until the add was finished. I am still convinced that this was again setup by our building superintendent here
at 178 Nepean street in ottawa.
