I just got a recorded message today from this number.  It's some campaign election crap saying, blah blah blah against George Bush.  I deleted the message before listening to all of it.

In all honesty, I think this is just a scrambled number so you don't have a number to complain about.  It's not just one company or anything, just like saying private or unknown call.

My mom has been getting calls from the #000-000-0000.  She doesn't answer all the time but when she does, it has something to do with a smoking survey.  I answered one time and the guy asked me if I smoke...I said no and he said "Have a nice day" and hung up.  But the calls still come in everyday.
My mom is on the "Do not Call" list and they call anyway.

Blockbuster calls show this number when they call me about a movie that I have not returned in time.  They always leave a message.

Received 4th call from this number asking for my wife.  When challenged, the caller identified herself as a polling organization for Del. Chuck Caputo from Virginia.  I replied that spoofing your caller id is a somewhat anti-social act and that we were on the "Do Not Call" list, she agreed to remove our number from the call chain.

i received a call from 1-000-000-0000 on my cell phone about an hour ago and i didn't answer it (frankly, the number creeped me out a bit). they didn't leave a voicemail. i searched for info on the number on yahoo and came across this website, i read a bunch of the posts. they just called me back and so i decided to answer this time. just like a bunch of the posts had described, they were telling me that i have a bunch of free groceries and a free gas card waiting to be claimed, and they wanted me to subscribe to something. they also mentioned something about a $2.50 fee, like i had read in a few of the posts. the guy told me the last four digits of my mastercard (debit card), and i am really concerned and upset about that. i just told him no, no, i'm not interested, and he finally gave up and said, "have a nice day." and hung up. but i am still very concerned that they are scam artists and they have my debit card info. that really pisses me off and it leads me to believe that using my debit card to shop online is unsafe. that's the conclusion i have come up with. maybe someone could have gotten the info some other way, but i use my debit card to buy stuff online a lot, and i think that some scam artist out there got a bunch of peoples' credit card numbers and is doing this.

Yeah, I just received a call from them about 20 minutes ago, I'm just going to call my phone company who will block unidentified calls.  However, I'm going to give it a few days to see if they call again.  If they do, I'll be polite and ask to be removed, if they call again, then I'll get it blocked.

received a call from this company... one of numerous. When i answered, they gave me a speel about lowering my credit card, my account is okay now... I don't own a credit card. This has bee a nuisance, so when asked if I wanted to speak to someone (press 1), I did. It was a company called MCS Credit. When someone came on the line and asked if I wanted to apply for a credit card, I said no I wanted to be removed from there call list. The phone was immediately hung up... is this legal? I wish I could get a hold of someone at this company.

We got a call showing up on caller ID last week with this number. Checked our voice mail messages & an automated female voice was sayin it was our last chance to lower our interest rate on our credit card.  Since it went to voice mail, the message just kept repeating over & over again until the time limit on our voice mail was used up.  And you can't delete the message until it's done playing the whole thing....aarrrggghhh!!  Talk about irritating!  Got another call today that showed up with same numbers, so I answered (to avoid the same problem from last week) with "hello" like I usually do.  Automated female voice said "That is not an option."  Hmmm...I said goodbye & hung up...THAT seemed like a good option to me! :-)

They call almost everyday (2-3 times a day) for the past two months. I do not answer and it goes to my voice mail...with no message but loud "shhhhh" sound. I have only answered once (in order to get them to stop calling) but no one responds. Maybe because it goes to voice mail their computer registers a completed call? My son used to live with me and he gave out my # to who knows? He does do surveys, he does smoke...but I haven't used Blockbuster for over two years (I hate them!), don't have GMAC or Discover card. I consider this harassment! I tell myself it's only a phone call...but everyday...three times a day...I want to know how to file a complaint! but who do I complain about (no message...no respond when answer)? I keep thinking if I don't answer...they'll go away!

Just received a call from that number.  It was an electronic message and was left on my voice messaging.  It was some company saying it would lower credit card interest rates to 6.9% if I called by such-and-such date (probably the same company that "Pet" describes a couple of posts above in this thread.  This same message has been left on my voice messaging before, but it appeared to originate from another number.  This latest thing of showing all zeros in the number must be some way of trying to hide their phone number.

I am receiving four or five calls from this number everyday.  This has been going on for about three weeks.  I finally gave in and answered and the line went dead.  I have contacted Comcast, my digital supplier and the FCC.  No one seems to be able to help.  On my CID it reads "No Calls."  Weird and very annoying.

There's just something "wrong" with an ID that comes up as 000-000-0000, so we just never pick them up.

This particular number shows up all the time on my "missed calls" list when I get home from work, and also calls randomly. Sometimes several times in a day, often at 9pm

"OOO" can be from anyone for any reason. It could be the CIA or your next door neighbor. Here is a link to one company that provide telephone number masks and they can disguise voice too.
