2023 was displayed on the Caller ID.  That's right: just "2023", so my phone blocking software let it through.  Oh great, now the scam callers have spoofed their number to only 4 digits.

The caller let it ring 6 times until it went to voice mail which recorded the caller hanging up.

Only 2023 is on the caller id and has called 4 times this past week but is blocked by my call blocking software.

Prior to blocking this caller, the phone only rings twice and they are gone.

I got the same call several times during work and di not answer. Today I answered. I asked how my phone was linked to my windows account and the caller, same as described above,  began a diatribe of explitives asking if I knew who he was and had I heard of ISIL. He also made several direct threats upon my life, saying he would kill me in those specific words. Where can this be reported?

I could only see the numbers "2023" and was curious, so I answered.  No response.  I tried to call it back and it said, "My call couldn't be completed as dialed".

If you create a contact you can send it directly to voice mail. After they know you aren't going to answer they quit calling. They have never left me a message. Worth a try!!!
