Not porn - This number is on both mine and my husbands phone bill, showing messages going to and from us. I believe that these are messages FROM Verizon.  We do use the phonebook backup system, so it could be that. But since they are on my phone too, those are the only messages that I can't identify the number for.  I get messages from them telling me that my online photo gallery is being deleted, and I don't have one.

I got a Bajillion texts on my phone bill, not my phone itself, supposedly sent back and forth.  Verizon wants me to pay 130 for it.  Nice to see it isn't just me.  Incidentally I got messages claiming my photo gallery was being deleted.  I don't have one.  PLEASE if you have ANY helpful info my Y!M is forged03.  I know this is kinda scary to contact me, but I am fighting Verizon hard on this.

I had TXT messages on my phone to and from my number which I did not make. I did not sign up for TXT messaging from Verizon and I don't make them. The charge on my bill was $453.00. When I taked to Verizon, Ryan and Linda told me that if I didn't want TXT messages I was supposed to "request" verizon put a block on my phone, and if I didn't then I would have to pay for the messages. I argued that how could I know to request a "block" on a product from them that I didn't sign-up for anyway? No one at their store informed me that I had to request a block for TXT Messages since I didn't sign up for it. I argued with them that they should automatically place a block on any customers phone who does NOT sign up for text messaging and that we customers should not have to "request" it! They said they would credit my account. I hope to see the credit on next months bill because I am deducting it from my bill anyway. I suspect that if enough of us customers complained to the FCC, that there might be something that can be done. Maybe we all should send emails to Chairman Kevin J. Martin: KJMWEB@fcc.gov
The Chairman would take QUICK action to prevent his mailbox being flooded with emails!

6245 is a text from a website, if someone cannot access a cellphone there are several websites, including your providers website where they can create and send a text message to you, but it will not have a number that it came from, just a random short number that you cannot reply to.

As has been said many times, this number is not associated with any one site or person.  I have several of these from using Yahoo! Messenger mobile on my phone chatting with my friend.  Everytime we send a message it goes though as a text message, but doesn't register as our numbers since it goes through a website before hitting their phone.  This may be confusing, but it can also be helpful, for instance, my friend lives overseas and through using Yahoo I only get charged for a local message rather than the outrageous pricing for an international message.

Also, you ladies really do need to calm down.  Stop stressing so much about sho your man is texting, if it bothers you that much, check the messages, not his bill.
