I have also received this number from someone calling through Skype.

i got a unknown call # with someone claiming they went to school with me and knowing my name right off the bat, as well as my high school and asking if id go out with them on friday, when i turned them down because i didnt know them, he sounded like he was crying and said but we were such close friends. i preceeded to tell him he had the wrong person and hung up.  5 mins later i got a call from a woman (using 1-000-012-3456)asking if i was talking to this "Ben" i said yes but i think he had the wrong number i dont know who he is. She proceeded to yell about "oh dont gimme that s**t" and i again hung up. The next call i did not answer they left a voicemail. the woman was yelling and this "ben" was hysterically yelling "im sorry shes doing this"

I get calls about twice a day from this number, my girlfriend answered once, but the person just repeated saying hello? Hello? But this is some scary stuff. My number is brand new how did they get it?

Yup, it's calls being made throught Skype.

Got this phone call and I never pick up calls I'm not familiar with.  They left a message that I could not understand either.

I've received several calls from the same number but I never answer them.  Today was the first time someone actually left a voice mail message.  The guy calling said his name, and of course it was garbled (like most of the calls you all have posted about)  He addressed me by my first name and proceeded to tell me how much he loved me and how much he's missed me.  Although it does piss me off, it was kind of funny!  He ended his message with a very pitiful "I love you (insert my name) sniffle, sniffle ... Bye."

i was at stop and shop with my family and all of a sudden my phone rang with this number and i answered it and it a was male voice saying i am fed up with ur s**t and so on and so forth. The also said that my gf was dead

I keep getting numerous calls from this goddamn number. This person will call once, and I'll send a busy tone (long distance charges? Do not want.) and about within a minute, this said person will call again and again. Sometimes there's a five minute gap between the calls, and sometimes there's only a couple of seconds.

Regardless, I did answer once. However, right from answering the call, it made a dial out... As if I'M the one making the call. I let the phone ring because I wanted to get to the bottom of this stupidity.

The person answered was a male. He was talking to me very loosely and casually, as if we were acquainted before (like we're close friends. Specifically, he said "Yo, what's up?") When I asked for his name, without missing a beat (or sounding confused), he promptly asked for mine as if it didn't care who the hell just f***ing called him. So, I just hung up.

Apparently, this is all from Skype, and if I honestly had the power, I would bring that f***ing company down. Whatta load of bu***hit.

Is this from Skype itself, or people abusing the Skype service?

Whenever I see a call from a totally nonexistant area code, I either don't answer or I answer just long enough to cut the caller off so the phone stops rining. Skype better figure out how to always provide accurate caller ID or it's just a matter of time before the government gets involved. I can't believe the idiots running Skype connected to the normal phone service in this way!

Just got a garbled call from this number as most of you have.  I got one call, picked up and it sounded like the call was being made from a crowded room and I couldn't make out what the person was saying, so I hung up.  About 30 seconds later, they called back and I sent the call to voice mail.  I was able to make out that the caller said I got caught at something and that they were going to rip off my head and s--- down my throat.  Also something about my parents and other kids that I could not understand.  These were my first two calls and hopefully the last, otherwise I will be getting my cellular provider involved.

That number has called me now 4 times in the last hour and they refuse to speak. Can hear background noises like someone breathing so this does not sound like an auto-dialer call. They then hung up after about 30 seconds. What I did is used the Bell Canada *57 call trace feature (costs 5$ per call to a monthly maximum of 10$). This feature successfully traced the origin so I can now contact the police to file a formal complaint. I am so fed up with people calling, harassing and disrupting my private space by ringing up my phone at all hours with garbage like this.

Get a couple of calls a week from this number, but always on the distinctive ring line (different ring, but same physical line as my voice number) that my fax machine answers.  Just called a minute ago.  No Fax, No Massage.

Several calls, when I answer nothing at the other end.

got a call from them december 3 at 12:46pm EST and again december 4 at 6:07pm EST in Toronto, Ontario. There was no answer (I was prepared to tell them off) so I hung up.

FYI, this number called my house just 2 MINUTES after this OTHER number: 1-623-238-6131

I got a call from this number today I said hello and then heard hello but it could have been an echo of my voice and then the line is cut.
