Did you respond to the text from 0000265080 asking if you were still up? I would love to know who it is. My daughter keeps exchanging texts with this person. Would like to have my fact before I ask her about it. If you can help, please email me at RALYearbookClub@aol.com

The txts are coming from AIM. The online messenger now lets you send aims to cell phones. It isn't cause for much concern. Your son or daughter is probably just talking to their friends. If you look at the actual txt message, it will tell you the username of the person who is messaging them

My daughter has been txting this No. for a week late at night don't want to cause concern but worried... MOM

My son has been tecting this # 0000265080 all hours of the night. The name on his phone is a sign on name. There is no way to know who this is and there is no real phone number on the texting. Anyone with inforamtion I would really appreciate it.

It is AOL Instant Messenger, Sam is right. Your son/dtr is receiving instant messages on their cell phone instead of logging onto a computer to IM.

My 12-yr old son got an obscene text from this number and others like it 0000265080, 081, etc. I was directing him to a pornographic website. I called my wireless provider who said it was coming from an AIM (AOL instant messaging user). Now my son is getting dozens of these texts a day!!! I guess I have to change his number.

After speaking with Verizon about receiving these texts I was advised to do three things.  First, send a NEW text message to each "short code" number such as 256080 that says STOP and nothing else .  Then go into your phone menu and under "get it now" and then under the "info" button - should be on the lower right side of the screen - you will see something like "Lock Apps" or something similar.  Lock the app.  You can also call Verizon technical support and they will assist you in doing this.  Last you must also Disable "Premium Text" for that line to prevent it from happening again.  Good luck!

it is cause for concern if it is costing you money - and possibly taking your contact information.
You are just the ignorant person they are looking for and there should be a way to block these text messages.

Text the message "off" to 265019. This will disable all AIM txt message. I was getting the same explicit txt also. Found this info on the web. You will get a response from AOL telling you the txt message service from AOL has been turned off and you will no longer recieve messages like that.

I think i know who this is.  are you people still getting this?  he is a 22 year old guy who lives in lafayette indiana.  if ya'll are still getting it - let me know.  Yes - I would be concerned if he were texting/aiming anyone to young to know different
