I called Telus and, as has been mentioned in previous posts, they said to reply with "Stop" and that should work.

Let me solve the issue for you all. A simple random number generator using the NPA/NXX (area code and Exchange) would provide the scammers with all the phone #'s they need. It is naive to think that Telus or any other large corp would sell your number to some half assed punks trying to make a few dollars... get over it!
