you know it just occurred to me. i don't remember ever giving out my cell number, i wonder if telus sold the number listings to someone, i never read the entire contract maybe there was something in there that said they could do that. But it could have also been randomly picked.

someone txted me saying they got my # from a friend of theirs they said ther name is sw3t_bunw8t then said "if you wanna come see if" and then it ends i searched sw3t_bunw8t on google and got this

Received 2 text msg on 04/21/08.  I do not know this person(s).  Live in Calgary AB and was traveling to Edmonton.  I do not give out my number

my work phone (not personal) and I get this text when my wife is sitting beside me (I dont even know how to text ). she help me answer, and read it , it says got your number from a friend , heard your kinda enjoyable  I am a bit shy and dont wanna say who i am if your interested go to bludeilgirl 822k.match-pit.com  my wife is thinking s**t and now i have to tell my boss everyone might get it and be billed for it W T F .      killem all

I got a message from Kinky 0909 saying how they got my number from a friend and heard I was sorta nice, but are to shy to contact me... who has an email kinky0909.love-pit.net and is shy?  I can't even blame this one on my buddies!  Message can in on April 27 2008, 4pm, with no number attached.  I'm a telus customer and don't like having my number given!

i got the same message twice. i think it could have something to do with online dating also

I am also with Telus, in Edmonton Alberta - the text messages came into my cell - in 2 separate text messages, both at 3:43 pm Apr 28 /08. The "From" field does not give any info, just a hyphen - the following are the exact messages (misspelling and all);

"Hello! A friend gave me ur cell # & i here ur quite a nice person. My username online is 2cute4u94, but I'm a bit bad at this, so I"

"dont want let you know who i am yet. so, if youre interested, come find me at 2cute4u94@lovemagik.com."

i sent a text back asking what friend gave my cell. no answer yet.

I also was sent this spam text from psychocutie_p080.love-pit.net  No phone # was provided with the sent message. I did just check my account ballance and was indeed charged for the message, but it could not give me the # that it was sent from.  I have sent a message to my cell phone provider so we will see what they have to say or not say.  My question is if there is any possible way to track this person down, or is it possible for them to get any other information about me??  I find this a little scary!!!!!

I wouldn't necessarily panic that someone has a bunch of your personal information - most likely it's based on the same idea as a telemarketer.  Some computer is going through phone numbers, sending out the same (or similar) messages to a bunch of different numbers.  Yours just happen to be the numbers that exist.

Doesn't mean it doesn't suck, but it's probably not anything sinister going on.  Just annoying.

Just received this text message:
"yo. A buddy gave me your # & i hear ur sorta likable person. My name online is maryloubell97, but I'm a bit shy. so i don't want say who I am just yet. So, if ur interested, come check me at maryloubell97.love-pit.net"

At first I thought it was a friend's prank TM, but when I Googled the online name and I found that I'm not the only one...
I spoke to Telus M. and they confirmed that it was computer-random calling... Advised me NOT to "check marylouubell" because it could be a computer virus or whatever! And I was credited for the TM. Thanks Telus.

I just got one of these myself, from a psychocutie_p080 at lovepit/love-pit. net.

It's creepy, because the only friends that have my cell number is a friend in Idaho, my family and my fiance.

Thank god I found this website. I don't know if I trust my cellphone company anymore. Maybe I should go talk to them.
