I also got 2 text messages saying they knew a friend of mine and wanted me to get in touch as i might recognise them. Creepy or what? It originated from the message.web@fidomobile.ca and was signed teeny4. Teeny4 also left a website. When i accessed part of the site it looked like an adults only site. I immediately got in touch with fido. They said all of their customers are given access to the fidomobile.ca web and are given accounts. This person must have a fido account or know someone with a fido account that can acess the site and type in possibly random numbers for spam. There is nothing they can do but i could change my phone number for $25 even though it is harrassment. If i file a police report i can change my number for free, otherwise delete the texts right away.

According to this thread these texts have been spamming people since March and they're still going, I got one just this morning.

C'mon Fido, get off your a** and do something. This is seriously the worst cell company I've ever been with. And that's pretty bad since all cell companies are serious crap.

I just got one of those creepy messages too and i'm with fido, like most people here seem to be. same deal about getting my # from a friend and all that jazz. the guy invited me to figure out who he is at datemansion.net which turned into some dating website crap. his handle was : hope0707. creepy or what? someone is probably picking us at random from a database. i just don't get why... but i do know that what they are doing is illegal, bcz they are advertising their sites or what not on ur personal phone. still...it's a huge invasion of privacy and of my (at least) sense of security. the message itself (all 2 pgs worth) gave me the chills.

So I got the message twice, I thought it was a friend that just got a new cell. So I stupidly replied. now what. besides getting charged for the message. somebody please tell.

I got an e_mail from this psychocutie_080,ify> and can't find the sourse. If anyone can help. This is annoying and troublesome.

creepy msgs... i got the same msgs as the other ppl on this thread but
my cellhone isn't from fido. which is the weird thing. i also checked
love-o-hop.net, but it's not a real website.

I got a text messae (twice) from pookitou19982 via tge Fido.ca wabserver. Don't they realize when someone is spamming from their site to their own subscribers?
