Fido will then stop all messages text from that server.

My guess is that they just went to the Fido website and picked random numbers to try. For every 1000 they send out, it's probably worth their while when they get a few people to go to their website -- for whatever they're selling.

My first text message said: "Text: message.web@fidomobile.ca (From fido.ca) Hey, I got your number from a friend of mine, but I bet you can't guess who I am! My username's pookitou 19982, if you ..." Then the second text carried on with saying: "wanna come see if you recognize me online, at pookitou19982.friend-jump.net Well, hope to see you soon! pookitou1998" I figure it's some new kind of phone virus if you head to that site that they want you to go to, so I didn't bother going to the site. I'm from BC and shortly after those two messages, I had two more weird texts from some guy in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the number of 1-702-635-6558. His first text at 1:20 a.m. said: "You up still". His second text the next day said, "Hey Kelly". So I phoned him up, but he told me he accidentally sent some texts to the wrong person. I wonder if it was him sending me the first texts. It's a bit weird that I got two more weird texts from someone I don't know right after the first two which seemed like a scam...
