They've called me almost everyday, often multiple times a day. Often when I answer the call is cut off. When I answered and got someone to talk to me it's often someone with a heavy (Indian, I think) accent. I talked to them twice. The first time I hung up quickly, the second time I tried to get them to stop.

They said that the credit companies have sent them my reports and my credit score's been plummeting. They ask me what kind of negative balances I racked up to cause this, and I asked them why they needed to ask if they already had my information. They said all they knew was my score was going down and they needed my info (like SSN- big red flag there) to find out more and I might be elligible for some program. I told them once again to stop calling me, only to have them call me right back and say, "Lisa, don't you think you need to be helped?" I hung up.

All that showed up on my caller ID was 587-4584. When he called me back, it said only 324. No name either time.

same thing happened to me today. i answered because on a quick glance the 587 looked like one of our local numbers. but instead i get this guy with a thick accent telling me the 3 major credit companies have seen them my account and my credit score is dropping drastically. sounded like a scam. i hung up.

i got the same call telling me my credit score was dropping and is 675.  i asked where did they get that information, and they said they got it from the credit bureau.  any new news about this?

I have received this call twice in the past week.  A man on the phone with a heavy mid-east accent (and who couldn't correctly pronouce my simple first name[1st clue]) & telling me my credit had dropped below a "certain point" and he could help me repair my credit.  My credit has always been tops and when he asked me if I had checked my credit score and what my credit score was I told him I was uncomfortable with the call (twice now) and have hung up twice. My gut feeling is that these calls are of scam origin, especially after finding these other reports.  Thank you to others that took the time to write.

Greetings people . . . Got a call from 587-4584 with no area code.  The man had a strong Mid-Eastern accent and called me by my first name.  All I answered was Hello-Hello and the connection was lost.  As I've come accustom to checking weird numbers/calls on this site, and others, I see this number is frequently reported with the same results.  The only thing I can figure is: Either 'unscrupulous' people working for Credit Reporting Companies are playing games with listings or someone connected with these Companies are selling info to 'unscrupulous' people.  I get numerous PHISHING and SCAMMING notices in my E-Mails all the time for random Banks I've never done business with.  Most of those, and LOTTERY SCAMS, are reported right away to my E-Host and whatever others are listed.  They can sceme their way around Websites and E-Mail domains real easy.  I've learned to be super careful and diligent to report everything.  Thanks to all for reporting information.  MOMBOB

I also received calls from this number. The first time I picked up I heard something about credit score and told the guy I wasn't interested and hung up.  This was around 6:30 pm.  I left my phone in my car while running to a friend's house and when I got back in and checked it, there were missed calls from that same number at 8:04, 8:10, 8:18, 8:29, 8:35, and 8:36 pm. It's a little freaky how disperate they are to talk to me.  Does anyone have any idea what company it is or how to block them?  I have Verizon for my cell phone and they apparently don't offer phone number blocking.

I received a call from 587-4584 (no area code provided)  I did not answer the call because obviously this is not a legitimate business or they would provide a full number on the caller id.  Whoever it is called twice once @ 11:56am and again at 11:58am.  DO NOT ever give any personal information over the phone to anyone.
