Pretty sure this is a SCAM. Foreign people call and say you have been selected to receive $10,000 in government money to do whatever you want with if you have no criminal history, make under a certain amount of money, have dependents, etc. How they find this information about you is unknown, but the only way to receive the money is to give a bank or credit card number to put the money on... Seriously?!?! What idiot would think someone would so easily believe that the government would hire someone who can barely speak English to call people to get their bank account information?! If someone like this calls you DO NOT believe them! *IF* the government were to issue money, they would send it in check form! So, DO NOT GIVE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THESE SCAMMING FOREIGNERS!!!!!

I get calls from this number, but I never answer, I don't think it legit because I can't find a areacodewith 001

I have been getting harassing phone calls from 001-0000, they call several times and I am so tired of it.  Same thing being said, something about government and money, then I hang up or cuss them out.  Which only has made the calls worse.  Sounds like the same person.

Just got a call from 001-0000. I mean really! Who has a phone number like that? Didn't answer. Of course, no message.

If I don't recognize the number, I don't answer. If they are legit, they will leave a message.

Sometimes I want to string them along for a while, wasting their time so they aren't scamming some poor innocent who doesn't know any better.

I have thought about witnessing to them, but God probably wouldn't appreciate it, if I'm doing it just to tie up their lines.

This number 001-0000 has started calling me on a dailey bases. I dont answer. Really,Wish these people would put there energy into something positive, Total dumb [***] if you ask me.

Received a call from 001-0000 today. Got on the internet to if there is any information out there regarding calls from this number. All comments were helpful. When this man that could barely speek english as for me, I asked who was calling. He replied with "This is a govenment agency in Washington D.C." I replied with "And." I guess from my tone he didn't want to waste his time with me. He ended the call. I spent all day wondering how did he get my phone number because I have a Magic Jack phone and why was he calling me. My mind is at ease now. Thanks everyone for your comments.

Received call from 001-0000 saying I have been approved for a federal grant of $10,000.  I asked if she knew whom my employer was?  She said no.  I told her I worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.  She hung up immediately.

they called me twice today they r pissing me off they call and hang up thye call anymore im reporting them to the police   they just dont STOP 001-0000 watch out  for that number

very annoying. I asked who had a phone number with out an area code. Really, going to give away $10,000.

8 calls in 7 hours! Never answered one. How can this be stopped?

Have gotten several calls from the 001-0000 phone number this week,  an East Indian sounding guy in very broken English said he wanted to pay me because I was part  of  a Medical Disability claim. This went on for a few days.  Today 3 more calls now he is asking me to suck his [***]! It sounds like the same guy each time!! Now I am really pissed, he even did it to my husband.

Just got that call and totally agree with you on the hiring that person and I just hung up on them. I got so many of the calls from various numbers I would answer my phone Security and Fraud Division LOL They would hang up real fast!

Have gotten a call from 001-0000 # several.times. They didn't say anything at first when I said hello. So I said if u can't talk...don't call my phone. They said [***] u and hung up...

I spent months getting phone calls 001-0000 from the so called government.  After cussing them out several times and telling them they are wasting their time, it as stopped.  Now I get calls from 000-000-0000.  When answering these calls, I can hear people, like telemarketers in the background.  Most of the time they don't talk.  I think there is a way that they can take money off your cellphone, if it is answered.  My phone plan is set for each month, so they can't take money off of it.  I think the only way you can stop this is to answer and hang up the phone, because if the call goes to the answering service, it can still take minutes-money off your phone, depending on the phone plan.  I have tried to block these numbers and it doesn't work.  I did like the Post that answers the phone saying "Government Fraud Agency".  Good one.

That is a good, I will have to remember that one.

I've gotten several calls from them trying to give me that grant. Most of the time they just hang up or say fu. Their call back number is ( 202-657-4861 ).
