I received a call from this number, but did not answer it as I didn't recognise the number and they didn't leave a voice mail.  Who is using this number and more importantly how did they get my mobile number?

Any answers for this number? I am getting them aswell. I did answer once and no-one replied.

i got a call from this number, they said they were bord gais telling me about a new plan to spread your bills over the year....

As above... had the cheek to say "thanks mate" when I said I wasn't interested. Was a Brit speaking to me.

This is a tactic to get you to press callback.

It may be a premium line number and they make money on your return call.

Please note that when the number is 353 01 656 6801 the actual number is 001 656 6801 so it is not a Dublin number.

I received today (6th april 2013) a strange call from 001656549719. They told me:

Hello Mr. Martins, this is a VERY IMPORTANT  CALL. We are calling you from Microsoft Windows for advise you there is a great problem with your computer".

I didn't continue the conversation.

Anybody knows who are these people?

They're just foreign scum attempting to gain access to your personal info. and corrupt your computer. They will then be so kind as to offer to fix it for you..for a fee that will only be payable by CC or money transfer. Ignore them.
Microsoft/Windows will NEVER call you. This is a fraud and has been going on for years.
