I received 3 calls from this numnber: 001-701-8370 within a two hour period. I did not answer any of the calls.

no one talking but we answered hope it doesnt charge rates !

# on caller ID.  No msg left.  Where is this area code from?  001 (to call Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar from Thailand  ?

just got a call from this number.  can this cost me something?

I got two calls from this in an hour.. no one said anything when i said hello.
And the second time i let it keep ringing , and no one left a message

received call from this number 001-701-8370-774. I refuse to answer it as it is obviously a telemarketing/scam call.

Got two phone calls in a hour.  Didn't answer.

received a call from 1-107-21, then from 1-107-22, then later from 1-107-23 then hours later from 001-701-8370778.  I did not pick any of these calls up, nu messages left.  I called Alltel for no help!

001-701-8370-752 - After a few seconds a female asked for "Laquita" I told  her she had the wrong number & she hung up. This is the 3rd call I've received from bogus numbers in the last 2 days. They all ask for Laquita.

Called and left no message did not answer getting many calls like this--too many to take.

As I was just waking up and groggy, I answered it. I heard some non-English accented woman asking if this was Ahmy. I told her no, then hung up. Two hours later, the same # came up. This time, I let it go to voice mail. The same sounding voiced female asked if this was Ahmy. I do not know who or what this is, but after letting my phone company know about the call, including the number displayed, they politely removed the charge from the bill. *whew*

The number I see on my caller ID is just how I posted it in here. I don't know this "Ahmy" or for that matter who this person is trying to reach. But my home phone, and the three cell phones on the plan have all been registered with the do not call list. All are active in the do not call system as of September 11.

The next course of action would be if anyone gets a call like that, be polite and ask for the supervisor and then calmly make a report. I just got done with that and now a company is in serious trouble for harrassing my house and cell number.

Another idea, register all numbers you have, even your pager. Register them every month so you know the number will not be called. Maybe even write letters to your state legal reps and get someone in Washington DC to put an end to this madess we go through. It's bad enough when a call comes in at 3AM and disturbs your sleep.

Called 3 times in one day, about 2 hours apart each time. Didn't answer, and they left no voice mail.

Today is Monday 9/24/07 and I haven't received any call yet. I haven't answered any of these. I figure if it is someone I know, they would leave a message and no one has yet. I got suspicious and looked the number 001 up online and it brought me here.

What the he!! is going on?

Call me over and over again. One right after another. Never leaves messages.  We can not even eat dinner or watch tv anymore with out the calls. Put our phone # on the donotcall.gov website but take 31 days. What a Joke !

There better not be charges on my phone bills for these calls. I do not anwser them.

I received a call from 001-701-837-0768.  I answered the phone and no one responded so i checked online to see what the area code is from and I found this discussion forum. Not sure what it is but thanks for posting this forum, so i'm not calling back just in case i get charged for the call.  Most of the time when you get an incoming call from a long distance number you don't get charged its only when you call back.

I have been receiving the same call number 001-701-8370-766 or 001-701-8370-754 i won't answer them its some kind of scam, its over seas number. dont answer and you should not get billed. they keep calling ever two hours. they never leave a message.

I've been getting these calls repeatedly for the last couple of weeks.  I usually get at least 3 or 4 a day.  They seem to call around the same time every day - fortunately I'm at work when they call.  Sometimes they just hang up but sometimes they say "hello? hello?" when my machine picks up (definitely a non-English speaking accent).

Got 3 of these calls today.  On 2 of these occasions, they said my first name when my machine picked up.  

I've also gotten the same type of calls from some weird abbreviated phone number.

I have no idea who they are and I'm not going to answer.  This is so aggravating, especially when my number is on the Do Not Call list and has been for over a year.

I received a number of calls from +0017018370765, +0017018370768, +0017018370764 and didn't answer them, but it was consistent over a three day period.  I'm hoping that's it, but awfully glad I found this forum to know that I definitely shouldn't have answered!  (and no message was left, either.)
