Have recieved 3 calls early today. Recognized it is an international number and didn't answer. Looked up the country code and it is from Columbia. Finally answered on the third call. They asked for me by name (first/last) and I didn't respond but asked who it was and they said they were with Matrix Media. Most searches for a company by this name come up with ones in the US. Have not found one with and international base. I told him to not call me again. So far, so good

I have been reciving calls from this number only to have no one there. How can I make this stop?

10/15/07 about 9am the phone calls started. of course i had my phone on vibrate and it could be a good thing...took me a while to figure it was my phone and not the printer..I look at the missed call and its a strange number
0017018370. I knew it wasn't family or friends. on google did a phone number search which brought me here. And did an area code search which narrowed it down to these places: Cambodia (855/001),Guyana (592/001), Hong Kong (852/001pccw), South Korea (92/001), Mongolia (976/001), Singapore (65/001singtel), and Thailand (66/001). and here it goes again for like the 7th time..ringing or I should say vibrating this phone..I have to make sure my greetings (voice mail) doesn't have my entire name...that would not be good to share with phishing scams..

About a week to 10 days ago I saw an ad somewhere on the Internet for a $50 Chili's Restaurant Gift Card for completing a "Yes" or "No" Questionnaire.  The majority of the questions were geared towards, "Would you like more information concerning......?"  You click Yes or No.  If you click Yes, you fill out name, address and phone.  After clicking through nearly 20 or more of these ys or no questions from various vendors, I responded "Yes" to only 2 or 3.  Then, I finally just closed out of the questionnaire and never finished it.  After closing out it showed me that there were still about another 30 vendors with yes or no questions to be answered.  I closed it completely out anyway.  Within two days I started receiving calls from 001-701-837-0758, and 407-226-9657, and 207-989-6079, and 770-503-7433, and 616-980-2800, and 301-345-5383.  Each of these are calling 2-4 times per day.  I have not answered any of them. I was able to identify two of the numbers, one number (407-226-9657) is from Orlando Vacations and another (207-989-6079) is Cheap Travel.com.
I sent an email to Chili's Restaurants about the constant phone calls and received a very nice reply that this $50 Chili's Gift Card offer on the internet is bogus and not authorized by Chili's Restaurants.  Chili's has also placed a disclaimer on their web site to this effect.  
So, more than likely, all these calls we have all been getting are stemming from this Chili's Offer or similar offers like it somewhere on the Internet.

Just called, I have no idea where this call is coming from.  They didn't leave a message. I didn't answer. I am also on the National Do Not Call List.  It doesn't seem to work though. I'm frustrated.

Received a call from this number this morning. Did not answer. Voicemail that was left was nothing but static, did not sound like anyone even tried to talk.

They called and left a message saying "You ignorant mmm". After that I havent heard from them since.

My husband just called me from work after he received a call on his cell phone from the number 001-701-837-0760. He did not answer and the caller didn't leave a voicemail. He told me about it because I'm from Germany and he knows that 001 code originates from overseas and he wanted to see if any of my relatives were trying to call us. I told him no way. I googled the number and it brought me here. Our cell phone provider is Verizon, and all of our phone lines are on the do-not-call list, but as I can read from here, that apparently doesn't make a difference! I smell a scam, but can't figure out what the pay off would be? Are they collecting money just for someone answering their call? Are they hoping you call them back and then they can collect money? This sucks and I hope this will be the first and only call or there's gonna be some heads rolling! Has anybody figured out yet what this nonsense is?

0017018370764 called my cell phone yesterday while I was in class.  I called it back immediately to see who it was and my phone said it could not be completed as dialed.  I thought that was strange.  There was no message left but it only rang twice.

I never got any of these call until i signed up for a free macys card online, 2 says later i got calls from 3 different #'s including this one.Did anyone else sign up for the free card? or am I on the nothing?

only thing i can relate it to is myspace.
there is a bunch of macy's giveaways all over myspace. a $500.00 gift card.
first one i got hit with was from tommylee's site .. then the second was a direct email from barry sparks of Dokken.
now i don't know if these guy's accounts got high jacked or if they are scumbags and think it is funny to get someone jammed up in this kind of scheme....
one thing is for sure... it cannot be on the up and up.
i suspect they set a pic on your line then are able to make long distant phone calls without incuring anycharges through your service.

whoever is behind it needs to get socked in  the back of the head!
