Appearantly it is, on some level, as I supposedly recieved at least one text from it.

this number ran up my cell bill 300.00  do you have a verizion cell ? any one else getting this on a verizion cell ??? email me please @pattie0907@yahoo.com

This number run up my bill to $400 in Jan. and it did the same on Feb. and I'm also a verizon customer. What did you do to stop it?

hey pattie...i just got my boyfriends hn bill and im with verizon also and it had hundreds of texts from that number ...i called verizon they said its from someone iming to the phn from a yahoo act so hope that helps?

On my son's cell phone, about 2000 of these text msg numbers....0080001306, 0080001176...a couple of others but mostly those two....all this equals a $1000 monthly verizon bill!! Anyone have any luck getting these (pretty sure they're spammed)charges rescinded?

The same thing happened with my son's phone. It turns out that these are instant messages from a IM program that he downloaded. It's just like chatting online using AOL IM or equivalent. All that I know is my son is paying me back for the charges out of his savings and is now banned from any and all texting!

These numbers are for mobile IM. When you use AIM or MSN or Yahoo it will show up with those numbers you found. You will be able to determine that the messages are related to the Mobile IM client by looking at the originating/terminating short codes:
AOL - 9000800014xx
Yahoo - 9000800013xx
MSN - 9000800012xx.
Airtime is only used when you first download the mobile IM application. Messages can still be received after the application is exitted, if you haven't logged off.

I am not that smart when it comes to technology but my husband keeps getting these wierd numbers on our bill. They aren't charging me anything beucase I have an unlimited package but I would still like to know exactly what it is. Can anybody provide any information?

My husband and I have had so many marital problems its beyoung belief. He went to Iraq 3 times and when he came back he was a cheater. He had these number like crazy on his texting log. We decided to go to marital counseling. For the longest time they were gone. Now all the suddent hey are back. He swears he had nor has no clue what they are. I am sure they are something to do with instant messaging. Is there a way to fid out who. He hasnt downloaded the instant messanger. I have checked his phone. I also checked his log info. that shows the history of the downloads and cant be deleted. It has never been downloaded. I checked the history of his internet. There are no signs. How do I figure out what is going on. Our marriage depends on it.

On my husbands cell phone there are 56 (both sent & recieved)text messages to a local number 903-439-8040 which is the prefix for the city 20 miles from us. There is 1 picture or video message sent & 1 picture or video message recieved from 9034398040@mm4inphomatch.com. Both texts and picture messaging were all in one day but all day long. I don't see it again on the bill. I called the local number & it is a very nice man that has not a clue how the number is on my bill & really thinks that I am reading the number wrong because 438 is also a prefix for this city, he says it must be 438 I am trying to reach.
Does anyone have any ideas of what this is?

I HAVE UNLIMITED TEXTING ON ALL 3 CELL PHONE,RECENTLY THEY WERE LOADED!!!! WITH EVERYTHING WEB,V-CAST,IM,.....MY HUSBAND WAS GETTING ALOT OF IMS FROM (I DONT KNOW)SO HE SAYS..LOL..SO NOW WE HAVE CHEAP A** PHONES TEXTING ONLY I BLOCKED WEB,DOWNLOADING,PIC MESSAGES, ZIP...WELL FOR SOME REASON HIS 2 NEW PHONE IN THE LAST 2WEEKS R GOING DEAD AFTER 1 HOUR OF TALK 4 WHOLE DAY I HAVE SAME PHONE CAN TALK ALL DAY ON FULL CHARGE. I OPENED UP AIM I DIDNT THINK WE COULD BLOCKED DOWNLOADS.WELL I COULD MY NUMBER SHOWS UP LIKE TEXT AND HIS LIKE AIM # 0080001304, 0080001352,..1303,1306,1304,1176 (I WAS AIM THESE PHONES BACK AND 4TH MY SELF THIS IS CRAZY)I HAVE VERIZON AND BROADBAND.. That number is to a guy whose activly gay, your husband most likely responded to his ad on craigslist, i just letting you know.

I have also had problems with this and infidelity with my boyfriend. If you want you can do what I did and if the verizon acct is in your name you can get family locator on all of your phones. with this you can gps him and find out where he is at all times. you can even set it up to have a text message sent to you when he arrives and departs work!!! it is not always 100% accurate but it helps!!! Once they cheat its like you can't belive anything they say anymore. The only catch is that you have to get ahold of his phone for a min to download the application and make sure the location is turned on in his settings and tools. I love it!!! It trips him out that I always know when he has left work. He thinks I have ESP or something. LOL No honey, I'm just smarter than you are!!!!
