THEY PHONED AND I MISSED THE CALL. WHO IS USING THIS NUMBER?

i got a call from the number 010 0018 785,some guy saying he is from cell c,they have a promotion of discounts for ppl who r using contracts,but the service will be 39 rands per month which should be deducted from my account every month.
he said i will be getting discounts from shops like makro,dischem,furniture shops.
but what surprised me was dat he didnt have my new aadress which i have updated with my cell c contract about a year ago.
so i called cell c to ask what was that about,they dont know anything.

people be aware.

THEY ARE SCAMMERS,LOOKING FOR UR ACCOUNT NUMBERS AND ID NUMBERS.

thank you, i don;t answer calls if i don't know the number and this one just didnt feel right, im gonna block this number on my phone right away!

Thanks, just got call from this nr. I didn't bother to answer!!!!

Also got a call from this nr this morning.  Did not answer, caller did not leave voice message, so I guess it is not important :-).

Also just got a missed call from this number. When I phoned back a guy said that I should stay on the line for the next available consultant and that my call is very important to them.... Blah Blah... So I just hung up.

A lady called me from this number, asking to speak to the person whose name my phone is registered to. when i said i am not that person, can i take a message. the lady got very aggressive and angry saying that she wants to speak to the person. i told her i do not have the number. she should call back. i will block the number now.thanks!

Cell C contract is on my name. Its been that way for over 5 years. They call now for an upgrade that's due in 5 months time. WTF -who upgrades 5 months in advance? They didn't bother to call be for the other 2 upgrades so why now?

Can't return the call as it cuts of.

How did you manage to get through? did you cal at a specific time?
Its cuts when I call.

i got a missed call from this number. I would have answered but wasnt near my fone. seems I didnt miss much as it looks like a scamer according to the previous posts

I received this call on the first of July from a lady who said they got a promotion on cell c,and than she end up asking me of confirming my identity numbers.

I got a call today from 010 0011875. The guy on the line said he is calling from GET IT and because I have a contract with Cell C I have been chosen to get discounts and they will send me an 084 number that I can call for whatever I need  (eg.buy furniture, breakdown services etc). and that I will get discounts from shops blah blah blah.................. to me It sounded too good to be true and I told him I am not interested and its the first time I hear of something like that....... The guy just hung up.

i emailed cell c to find out if this number really is fro cell and this was cell c's response
