Just received a suspicious call from a cancer company promising me a gift in 6 weeks time. They took my work, date of birth and my home address.

I have been missing this call 011 012 3800 and when i call them back no one answers.
who you please???

who is these people they had a friends name which they refered to that we know, saying we will receive a free gift in 6 weeks is this true or a scam?

Let's go over a few basics. What personal information did you give up for this free gift? Financial information, any? Did you pay a 'fee' to get this free gift? If your name is on any of your friends social media sites, that's where you name could of been gotten. Now, what MAY you of signed up for to get this free gift? Magazines? Useless overpriced crud? You're asking if it's a scam. Maybe yes. Maybe no. YOU need to find out the name of the company, what they're all about, & what you've gotten yourself into.

Got the same call today - sounded real at first, was not 100% sure now I feel concerned about a scam.

this people send me sms yrstdy and thy càlĺed my today  i gv thm my name surname adress half iď mnbr but not my bankinģ details and i gave them my email address but what ever thy doing  with my details they are welcome i wl gave them what they will regret with their life i wil make sure they will be arrested for fruad playing with my surname will cost them jail time
