Phoned to say that they were calling on behalf of Microsoft to tell me my computer was downloading a lot of data.

Clearly a scam because they would not be able to associate a home phone number with an IP address. (No computers running on Microsoft OS were on at that time of the morning either)

Scam!

Clearly a scam. Constantly calling… saying theyre representing Microsoft.   I haven't used a Microsoft operating system in over 10 years !! Wish they would stop calling. My husband works nights sometimes and they'll call the house upwards of 5 times a day.  So annoying !!  

Called this morning, but don't think they said Microsoft, but just mentioned that my Windows PC had malware, etc. Oh my, I said and told them I'd have to go out and buy a computer so that I could fix it because I didn't have one.  Anyway, they hung up pretty quick.  Maybe next time I'll play along to see what their real game is.  Not that I'd go to any web site or download one of their "tools", but curious to see where they are going.
