i found a internet site that i have won 3000 dollars in discount for a trip to usa. After 20 minutes in telephone talking about the trip they want my creditcard number beacuse the real cost for the trip was 3898 dollar - 3000 (the money that i won). Now they want 898 dollar from my creditcard. I told them that i dont have any one. Now they been mad and hang up the telephone call. I hope that no one give them any money. I´m gona report them to Interpol.

Same thing happend to me as mad describes. Watch out ?

YES...I did the right thing...after talking for 20 min they ask´t for my creditcardnumber...and I said "thank´s but NO thank you"...they hang´d up!! This happend yesterday. I´m affraid this call can cost, did your´s???

I told them that i dont have any creditcard. He been mad and hang up the telephone call. I think that is some kind of a scam site. He claim the call was a free call. Who knows. We see at the end of the month.

The same happened to me in Sweden dec 14th. First I talked to a company called freecruise.com (connected with Summer Bay Resorts) and then to somebody called "Tiffany" with a codenumber 3175. She said she worked for the big worldwide timesharecompany RCI.com I hang up when she asked for my creditcardnumber but i gave her my phonenumber before that. I hope they can´t missuse that. It must be some way to stop this. But HOW??? The phonenumber 011-496 64 22   was located in the swedish city Norrköping,but when I looked it up, it did not exist of course. There was also another phonenumber on the same page: 1-407-260-3625. Go and get them

just read these messages, had a revelation!  my husband was on a site today, when it flashed up that he was the 1,000,000th visitor and he had won a prize, so i rang the number given, and found that we had won a $3000 travel voucher, and the prize included 6 days in orlando, free car hire, 2 days in daytona beach, 3 days in the bahamas and a trip to malaga!  Amazing!  To cut a long story short, it didnt feel right, altho they assured me that there was no catch, i would have 18 months to avail of the prize.  Then they informed me that the retail value of the prize is $3898 and i would have to pay the balance!  they transferred me to another salesperson who assured me i was sooooo lucky(!) and then asked me for my credit card details!  told them i didn't have $898 on my card, and they then said they would take a deposit, at which point i said i didn't have my card with me, and i hung up!  i am ashamed to say, i very nearly fell for the scam, although, its a true saying that something that sounds too good to be true usually is.  Thank God i didn't fall for it.

The same happening to me today. Its to good to be true. I talk with them in 30 minutes. They said that the number don´t cost anything. I don´t find any answer from nowone here if i cost anything? Can anyone answer if the phonecall cost anything?

Hej igen. Jag tittade idag på min bredbandstelefonsleverantörs hemsida och såg att samtalet bara kostat mig 0.69 kr för en halvtimme. Jag ringde tre gånger då det bröts. Då jag har ett erbjudande att jag ringer gratis till alla fasta telefonnr med endast startavgift på 0,69 kr/samtal. Annars om man ringt från en mobil hade jag säkert fått betala ett minutpris inom Sverige beroende på vilket avtal man har. Om jag hade betalat ett minutpris på 19 öre min på min fasta telefon hade det blivit dyrare, tänker jag. 0,19kr *30 min hade blivit ca 7 kr för samtalet. Dyrare mobiltaxa ännu mer osv.  Skönt nu kan man pusta ut att det inte blev dyrare! tt det verkligen var ett samtal inom Sverige som kopplades via Norrköping. Jag skäms att jag nästan gick på att jag vunnit en resa. Men fattade att det inte stämde då man skulle betala 898 dollar för fyra personer och 15 dollar natten per person för hotell osv. De gör allt för att sälja.
Lämna inte ut ert kontonr på Internet. Jag gjorde det inte och kommer aldrig att göra det heller. Hoppas inte att det kommer någon mer räkning, troligtvis inte då ingen annan tidigare som gjort inlägg har gått in och skrivit något om det!

Hej! Jag höll också på att gå på bluffen men när vi kom till att det här att betala i slutet så sa jag nej tack och dom slängde på luren i örat. Lät som så trevliga människor! Det värsta tyckerjag är att dom har mycket uppgifter om mig nu som tur var gav jag ett felaktigt mobil nummer. Men killen sa ju under tiden att vi diskutera det här med betalning att han såg vad jag hade för visa kort. Hoppas det inte häner något nu på efterhand.
