Frequent calls the last two days.  Couldn't find a reverse lookup number.  Everytime I answer hangup.  What's the scam? Concerned about leaving house now.

I have been receiving calls from this number on my cell phone as well as my home number.  They never leave a message and it seems fishy!  I plan to block the number, especially since I saw that the number is from Antigua or Barbuda

Been receiving calls the last few days from this number. My phone blocks calls not in my contacts, so they get blocked, it goes to voicemail. It's a robotic voice that says goodbye on the voicemail and hangs up.

The caller sounded like he was from India and claimed that he worked for Dell and that he was notifying me that my computer was infected with malware that could potentially fry my hardware.  He knew my name and Service Tag number but it sounded like a scam when I questioned him so I hung up.  Every time they tried to call it was a different variation of the same phone number.

We've been getting them all day on the hub's cell phone. No message.Hang up on answering. I am about to alert Dell. We had this happen with a Microsoft scam last year.

I too got six calls from it says "out of area" 781-3002.  It sounded like a telemarketer, because after I said hello, there was a pause and then someone came on the line - similar to other telemarketing calls that I have experienced.  I see on my phone that they called as early as 3:45 am and then almost every hour.  I answered one of the calls at 6:30 am, and the male voice asked for my name specifically.  Since I was suspicious, I said that that person was no here and if I could take a message.  They did not want to leave a message, but just before I was ready to hang up, that person said :"I love you."  So the next two calls I did not answer.  Finally on the fifth and sixth call, I answered with a very deep voice trying to sound like a man, but no one came on the line.  I then called Time Warner to ask what I could do, but it seems that I need an area code in order to block the number.  But they did say they would take my number off a list that is given to telemarketing companies.  It was interesting to see what others experienced.  I could not tell if the voice was from India, but it could have been.

I received several calls from the number 011-781-3002 and after about the fourth one in an hour, an actual human was on the line. A man who had a thick foreign accident. Younger man. In the background I heard other voices, such as in a call center. He said he knew my dell computer  TAG ID number, and said it was not a sales call, he wanted only to confirm my tag ID, so he could 'properly in form me that I have malware attacking that had been down-loaded into their system box'..

He read the number to me but I was driving and could not write the information down. I called DELL from the number I got from http://www.dell.com/support/  888-560-8324 and spoke with 'Grace' from  Dell Reception,  and she says that they are aware of what is happening, they do not know how these people have the tag numbers, but these are definitely fraudulent, most likely hackers- The issue that I am having is that they know my name, and the service address- my former address. Interestingly enough, they know my legal name, I just changed it recently. Call Dell and report it, my guess is, its coming from inside Dell

The calls have started again this morning. I do have a Dell computer too, so you may be right (inside job). Odd thing though, is that when I bought the Dell computer, I bought it under a different phone number - my business number, but they are calling on my home number. On the third call this morning, I finally decided to answer, and I did not give the man a chance to say what he wanted.  I just told him that I have reported this call as harassment, and that they better not call back again.  Hopefully it stops.

As an addendum: .  That was at 10:11 AM and I just received another call from the number 781-3002 five minutes ago- (10:50 AM) the numbers that have called me from this company are: 781-3002, 011-781-3002=781-30021-000-046-6453. the seven digit numbers provided came with no area code at all. I called and spoke with Dell Customer Service, and they provided me

I received 8 calls since yesterday from 10117813002. After reading the above comments, I'm sure that my contact number has been leaked through the Dell website. Dell should alert their customers about this fraudulent calls.

So far I've received two calls, almost within an hour. 3pm and 4:06pm Eastern. I did not answer. Like "DR"'s experience, the call is only seven digits, no area code or anything, just 781-3002. As some other people commenting about a particular scam; I do have some Dell computers but they are either second-hand or 15 years old!

Received 2 calls from 781-3002. No country or area code. First call: no one on the line. Second call: Man with heavy Indian accent stated that he was from Dell Support and that my Dell computer was infected with virus software.  I told him that I had sold the computer then hung up.  Obvious scam, but how did they get my phone number and know that I had purchased a Dell in June/15?  Inside job I suspect.

Been called three times in recent days from this number.  First two times there was no one there.  Yesterday a man said "Hello" and I could hear what sounded like a call center in the background so I hung up.
I've blocked the number now.

I've been receiving calls from this number everyday at odd hours. The last time a man with a strange accent told me my computer had a virus and he was calling from Dell. I knew it was a scam and told him I didn't have a Dell laptop. Shame on Dell to let their customer's personal information to leak :-/

Persistent bastages aren't they?  youmail handled it for me  :-)  Once I got both variations of the number programmed into it, they get greeted by "the number has been disconnected" message.

Got 3 calls in 3 days from this number ...1st call nobody on line...2nd call had 3second delay on my voice so i hung up....3rd call gave me the "your dell computer is infected" spill....so i had a little fun, being in IT and knowing this is a scam. Got the guy so mad on the other end that he told me to "F#@$ OFF"...thats when i gave him an ear full...Hope they call back i will record it and have a little more fun.........Maybe if Dell didnt farm out the free 1yr tech support to over seas call centers this crap wouldnt happen.......

Have been called every 15 min since early morning from this number. Told first person to stop calling. My dad just passed. Still calling. Just called again. I answered. Said it was a Nick with Dell Tech Support. I told him again not to call that I would be contacting Dell myself regarding this.

Got 3 calls before someone with a heavy asian accent answers. Called himself Nick Dobson gave this number to call back 8003251419. Definitely a scam.
