I got a call from this number telling me to hold they are trying to connect me

And it was disconnected
Tried to phone it
Number is incorrect

I was called twice on my cell phone, when I answer there is no response, then I kept quiet I could hear a ladies voice, I tried to call with the company phone the call was disconnected

No message

CliI received a call from this number today on my cellphone, there was a lady on the phone, she said she was calling from telkom, she tehn enquired if I had a telkom landline to which I then replied that surely if she is phoning from telkom she would know if I had a landline or not, she then said that Telkom's information on the Telkom database is old and that is why they are phoning to update the information.... I just refused to give them any information.... It's one of those calls that just made you feel "something is not right here".....

I too have received a call from this number and it was also people saying they are from telkom, they called me off a similar number with the same story. (011 3550000) they had some of my information and I believe it was from my Gumtree advert, strangely not long after I received a call from a lady enquiring when she can come view what I was selling from gum tree. I looked up the number and all the number came back to commissioner street in JHB, this is also where the lady that called said she worked. Did anyone els have any type of online ad at the time of the calls?

Yes. Also gumtree. Have had soooo many bad experiences via gumtree. Really think Gumtree is a ses pool these days. OLX seems to have a much better caliber of person.

This number tries calling me everyday, i just ignore ignore ignore!!!

Getting calls from this number every day , always put on hold. Tried to phone back to track caller but number not in use, How is some-one able to phone out but you can't call back. This is a real nuisance. Any suggestions on tracking numbers so this can be stopped? Scam really needs to be taken more seriously by authorities in South Africa and heavy penalties should be dished out.

Just got a call from this number,I spoke to a gentlemen who insisted on buying my prodigy but refused to tell me where he is exactly situated.
