Received a call this morning from his number.I did not pickup. I did not know the number...

This is OBVIOUSLY a SPOOFED number; there is NO SUCH AREA CODE in the USA as "012", nor are there any exchanges (middle set of #s) that start with "0".  I picked up/hung up w/o answering to break the call and hopefully 'confuse' the robodialer into thinking this is a non-working #, but now I'm CURIOUS as to what RUSE the SCAMMERS are using THIS time.  Why are "Chuck" and I so lucky to get this call, but few others?  WHERE are the other comments???

Call came in just 2.5 hours after a call from SCAM # 617-446-4690 (has been calling us for 2 months)

Caller ID said "Unavailable" with this number, but it left no message.

I got a call at 11:15 a.m. this morning.  (April 28)    Caller ID showed "unknown caller."    Since I knew 012 is not a legitimate area code, and since I didn't recognize the rest of the number, I pressed TALK, then quickly pressed END, which cut off the call.   They didn't call back.    Sure, it was some kind of scam.    I would encourage others to press TALK, and quickly press END, if you suspect it is a scam caller.    If the call is really for you, they will call back.

Called us again 5/13/15.  We were not home.  I believe it was they who left an (ILLEGAL) pre-recorded message offering a 'free GE Home Security system' just for putting a 'small sign advertising solar energy' in our yard.  Yeah, right.  And a bonus bridge in Brooklyn, thrown in for good measure.  (Not completely sure this message went with this number; we got FIVE spam calls in 2 days while we were away.)

FOUR ways this is ILLEGAL:  SPOOFED #, ROBODIALED call, PRE-RECORDED message; "TELEMARKETING" to a household registered with the DoNotCall List.

Of course, these are likely overseas CRIMINALS, and by definition, criminals do not follow this, nor any other law.

Just received a call from this number.  Saw the odd area code and prefix and didn't answer, of course they didn't leave a message.  If it happens again will press the talk button and
Immediately will press the off button.  I do that most of the time anyway as I get so many telemarketing calls.  They usually give up after so many times of this.

Got a call from this number two days in a row at the same time.  Before i could hang up on them, they hung up on me. I've only  had the number for a week so they're obviously phishing for active numbers.

Forgot to mention, I'm Canadian.

I received a suspicious call from this number. They say they are from Vision EZone and that my computer has had warning signs and that they are responsible for helping me. it is a woman with a think Indian accent and her English is imprecise enough in its tense and syntax to be very difficult to understand. Very persistent woman who could not tell me a straight answer to my questions about how they had my contact info.

Call from this number came in at 8:55pm.  Did not answer but my answering machine picked up and no message was left.
