A call pretending to be from the Australian Tax Office. Checked with the ATO and it wasn't from them

rang and left a message- very forced strong accent said they were from ATO as well- highly doubt it considering above comment

I also just got a call from this number claiming to be from ATO stating that there was a lawsuit against me. He said he needed my tax file number to explain, my reply was that if you are from the ATO you should know it. He hung up on me when I said put it in writing.

Very abusive spoke over the top of me said from tax office said I have been steering from ato would take all assets go to jail ,did not explain what I owed .Have reported to ato and the fraud police are looking to close them down spoke with an Indian accent If anyone calls from this number do not reply they are worthless humans

Call from private number today. Left a voicemail saying from ato ring back on this hotline #0261452253.  So I did. Threatening story regarding personal income tax and tried to get me to transfer money from my bank account. Huge scam!!!! My accountant said this is extremely common at the moment. Please be aware and check with your accountant and the tax office before providing any personal information over the phone.

I had a call from private number today. Left a voicemail saying Nicky Johnson from ato ring back on 0261452253. When I returned the call it was Neal Michael Johnson.
