I got the call at 1.30 am!!  not happy jan...

at 11 pm one night, not happy Jan!

Hi guys, I've been harassed with three calls from these idiots over the past week now.  From what I've found, the promoter is a company called QuizSMS: http://quizsms.com.au.  Their customer support line is 1300 662 562.

Read through their FAQ section on their website and they describe exactly the type of competition they're calling about, with the $50 Sportsbet voucher up for grabs.

I've just sent them a firm email through their contact page stating that they are not to call me ever again, and I requested them to email me confirmation that they have taken my number off their database.  I suggest we all do that.  If they do not comply, I will call the customer service line and really shake things up.

Great forum, I got a missed call from them and was contemplating whether to call back as I habitually do for all my missed calls. Thanks for saving me the trouble. Somehow these phone spam advertisements are becoming more prevalent, I guess it's basically impossible these days to avoid these annoyances. There is no escape!! O_o||

Please DO NOT *ever* call back numbers that you do not recognise.  It is quite easy to trick you into being hit for expensive reverse call charges with masked numbers.

How do I know?  I used to work as an investigator with the ACCC (consumer protection) and this kind of thing was going around a couple of years back.

I just had a missed call so i called them back, not knowing who it was of course, and it just rang out.
So, I type the number in google and find this page!!!
hows that 4 luck!
now if they call me again I will know. Thanks so much guys...u probably just saved me from some sick spam crap.
