who is this?

It has called a number of times tried to call back and just hangs up

Received 4 calls today, every couple of hours from about 9am, all from a different phone number. When I finally did answer one of the calls, there was no answer on the other end.

The numbers were 0280230431, 0280230472, 0280230295, 0280230264.

Getting annoyed here, phone rings, I answer, nobody talks and the line hangs-up a few seconds later. I've been receiving several calls per day all this week from the following numbers:
0280230153 / 02 8023 0153 / 028-023-0153
0280230267 / 02 8023 0267 / 028-023-0267
0280230431 / 02 8023 0431 / 028-023-0431

According to the data on 028-023-0000 (probably the same call group) it's a firm trying to upgrade existing Amex customers. I'm not an Amex customer, though and this "marketing exercise" must be costing them a bundle. Surely it's cheaper just to SPAM/UCE everyone?

Any number that starts with zero is either a fake number or an international number. Probably not easy to trace and probably not someone you want to talk to.

the number is 0280230431 this number rings nearly every day. I answer the number then after 5 secs then it disconnects.. apparently alot of other people have had the same probs with the same number.
