I received a call from this number its a marketing company,
They called me on behalf of commonwealth bank.

it's not avon, it's Aegon Direct Marketing Services.

keep haning up as soon as I pick up if you call them back you get an answering service

This is a direct marketing company their Managing Director can be contacted at craig.orton@adms-asia.com please complain to him as often as you like!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So it appears they have now changed their phone number to 02 8094 6230, so annoying!!!

Ok...for anyone that gets phone calls from anyone, from any company the law states.....

that calls must be between the hours of 9am - 8pm Monday - Friday and 9am - 5pm Saturday. They can not call you on any other day or outside the time frames so not on Sundays or PUBLIC HOLIDAYS or AFTER 8pm Mon-Fri or AFTER 5pm on Saturdays.

A telemarkter must hang up if a consumer (which is you on the other end of the phone) requests them to ....AND the telemarkter must then NOT call for at least 30 DAYS of being told not to ring.

You can also ring the Do Not Call Register on 1300 792 958
IF any company rings you when you are on the DNCR or after hours or on Sundays or on Public holdiays they are in breach of the telecommunications Act.

You can make a complaint to the Telecommunications Ombudsman for your state.

You don not have to put up with phone calls you do not want....
