You get a missed call and when you call back there is no noise on the other side. My poor sister also got a 3hr !! registered call on her mobile phone bill with this number that she did not make!!!!

Keep getting calls from 0281983800 which when returned auto-answers with a dead line. It's getting extremely annoying. I'm on the 'do not call' register. I'm in Victoria, Australia.

i have been getting this missed calls on my mobile ph.. which is two of them 0289154600 and 0281983800. I believe its the same person doing this in a similar area. i called back yep same thing a dead line.. strange. Why would someone want do this to people must be sick.

At least 10 and I am very annoyed!

Have recent bill with 3hr20min call on landline, a call that did not originate from our place ... not happy!!!

I get a calls from 02 8198 3800, 02 8915 4600 and, 02 8666 6610 at least twice a day, have not answered them yet, not game too. I live on the Gold Coast with an Optus phone. My phone is prepayed, so I think I might wait 'til I have about $1 left, then answer it and see what happens, they can't take what is not there!

I started getting calls from 02 8198 3800 about two weeks ago, most of the time if I answered it, I got no noise until I hung up. If I call back, I get the same noiseless line.

I finally got on to someone today, which was "ITG calling on behalf of Westpac". I've never had any business with Westpac, and I'm pretty pissed off that a proper corporation is paying someone to harass me. At any rate, I plan to send Westpac a nicely worded letter, not that I expect they'll do anything about it. Also just put myself on donotcall.gov.au, which hopefully will help.

Lots recently from 028 and 029 numbers. About a dozen in the last week I would say. Have never answered them (always miss them) and never returned them.

Yep getting them from both 02 8198 3800 and 02 8915 4600, received on optus landline and prepaid mobile.  About 6 or 7 calls in just over a week, no answer to either, just a dead line... don't have a clue where my numbers were sourced.

Okay after 2 weeks of daily annoying dead calls from 02 8198 3800 and 02 915 4600, I finally answered to someone on the other end!

I'd already narrowed it down to the commonwealth bank telemarketing, and was right on -  CommInsure income protection marketing... and 'politely' told them where to stick the pointy end

I have had this number 3 days in a row. Rings for two rings or so then stops. Call back and there is nothing on the other end. Doesn't even ring.

been getting a call from this number ... the phone goes quiet when you pick up.

i have called back 3 times and get connected but there is no sound.

after reading these comments im not going to be happy at all if i get a 3 hr call charged to my mobile.

This is dodgy as F@#$ i pick up a silence and hang up?! /wtf is this sh#t?~!
