Received a call from this number a few short minuted ago, pressed the answer button and the other end hung up immediately

Just got this call and it was a recording saying I won a $60 bedding voucher and then something about 'wizz-quiz', then it went on to tell me to press 6 to claim this prize. So I hung up and entered the number into google, and found this site :)

To anyone who gets a call like this just HUNG UP, id bet my kidneys that its a scam.

I got a missed call from this number. I called back from my landline, the recorded message said something like "If you do no want to receive promotional material press 1". I pressed '1', the recorded message then requested I enter my mobile number. I hung up because they did not specify a business name.

Just received a call from this number but missed the call.  "Googled" the number and found this site.

Got one call from this number in which a recorded voice which claimed to offer a $60 betting voucher. I hung up before listening any further. A search for the number found this site. I am now refering the matter to the telocomunications obudsman. I have complained before about the use of unsolicited calls to attract business for "premium service" numbers offered by Australian phone companies. These companies contiue to sell the use of these numbers to inapropriate users. If you are in Australia and reading this please join with me in sending a complaint to the appropriate telecomunications authority about unsolicited calls relating to "premium service" numbers. No company that uses unsolicited calls or relative of an individual of involved with such a practice should have access to these business tools. Any telecomunications company that allows these sevices to be used by inapropriate persons or entities (see above) should be heavily fined.

I have received at 1337 hours on 30 May 2008 a similar unsolicited marketing to my mobile phone--Optus as my service provider is well aware that I have no desire to participate in unsolicited marketing campaigns.

In fact I have such an aversion to them I told the folks from Morgan Gallop Poll that they were breaching my autonomic rights and as fascist offscouring, I'd appreciate that Australians put more effort into advancing those rights.

Had 2 phone calls today one at 1.30pm did not answer it as i did not no the number.
Then had another call at 6.30pm and now that it has happened twice in the one day it got me thinking and i had a similar call i answered last week and it was a recording i hung up straight away.

It now makes me wonder if im not being billed for this call as i saw a report into phone scams like this NOT HAPPY.

Just got a call on 3 June 2008, 3:47pm from this number saying that if i press 6 I would win a $60 voucher.  I hung up.  where did they get my number?

Called home number once and it was a recorded msg (American voice) saying something about a free holiday i hung up immediately. Then called mobile on 26th May at 12:55 and then on 27 May at 13:10 i didnt answer they havent called again.

This number keeps calling me and hangs up 02-8205-0499

i missed the phone cALL made from this number so i called it back and got a message about pressing 1 to not recieve calls anymore. about 3 hours later they called again but i dodnt pick up.

I have been called 4 times by this number today. Does anyone know how you can stop these unwanted calls?

I've been getting called by this number the last 3 days at either 1pm or 4 pm or both. I never answer it. I always screen my calls on caller i.d. the way I figure if it's important enough, the caller will leave a voicemail or text you, if they don't...they obviously want something from you, eg a sales pitch... or of course a scam....
