Called me on my mobile @ 11.30am 19/12/08 and again smack bang @ 8am on 20/12/08.  Tried to ring back, and I get a recorded message asking me to 'check the number'.  My phone says this number is unregistered.

Its a service number for international caller who either have international roaming or from a different source such as calling card using the 0282094700 service

annoying calls from this number a couple of times already,
mainly during the morning, like at 4:09 am in the morning.
I picked up once and heard nothing, never bothered to call back.

Hrm, Yes I just received this call to my mobile (in Perth) requesting me to verify my details (name, etc) so they could provide me with information on my bank account. Im tempted to report it...

It's some whack job from India trying to get you to change ur mobile phone contract to some company that no-one has ever heard of.  He's really rude and pushy - I hung up on him the first time, then a week later he rings me again.  I yelled at him to not call me again and he hung up on me. haha

Just moved here from America to Sydney, this number has called us 5 times, once in the middle of the night and the 4 other times in the middle of the day. Havn't answered it as it would be really expensive. Super annoying though.

This number called me a few times in Australia this week, mid Feb 09 incl. tonight, claiming to be the Immigration Dept of the UAE in Dubai and that I had to send them US$10,000 immediately or my recent approved job application and Work Permit for Dubai would be denied and I would never be permitted to work in the UAE again. I was travelling on a train at the time, they did not know this, and they made excuses saying they were phoning from Dubai International Airport and the over-head planes were making noise. The bogus 'employer', Emirates English Education Academy-Dubai, worked in email collusion with the 'UAE Immigration' authority.

i too got this number calling me on my mobile this morning and it was around 2:17 am. It called me once and cut it, then it's was ringing for the second time. I cut that call and switched off the mobile.

I have received two calls to my mobile from this number(I'm in Melbourne). The last was at 2.59am today. It followed another number 0011976000 which only rang twice before stopping. The two seem interconnected. Nobody I know is traveling overseas so phone cards appear unrelated. Would any business expect positive results at 3am?! Possibly nuisance calls generated by computer?

received a call from that number. was my mother from Germany. never saw this number before. She was calling on a internet line of an international provider.
Probably it is always the same internet line.
Was good to find this homepage and realize that the number was use before more often.

Call received at 730 am Qld time. Didnt answer, rang back number disconnected...hasnt rung back
