This number shows up constantly as a missed call and when I call back it goes to a voice recording of th ph number

I have had 12 phone calls from this number, the last being the 9th November at 9.56am. No message left, just missed call. One day they called about 6 times, every 15 minutes. Its weird. I had 2 voice messages on my phone too,  but im unsure if they are from that number or not as it doesnt appear on my phone. One message doesnt actually say anything, just a whole lot of back ground noise like its in a call centre and second call is really long, with a lot of beeping and a man talking to another person, telling them what to do and how to do it, but also has alot of the same background noise like a call centre too. Its kind of like they have either accidentally called or had been random calling (for the 10th time) when they got distracted and forgot about hanging up the phone when it hit my voicemail.
I havent called number back yet. Have not long been back in Aus after a trip overseas, and only just begun getting calls from this number since going overseas and putting my phone on International Roaming.
Its very puzzling. If they want something then leave a proper message. If not, [***] and leave me alone!! lol

I get these calls on our home phone (which happens to be UNLISTED and private number) from the same number - 8-12 times a day - EVERY day! My partner gets the same calls on his mobile (work supplied number) about 5 times a day. This has been going on for the past 4-6 weeks. It's getting beyond the joke! Something needs to be done. I'ts driving me insane!!

yes i have had the same annoying phone number over and over agian, i have also used my OPTUS International Roaming and went to singapore and vietnam. Maybe theres a connection? anyway my phone is next to me and im gonna talk to them alot and pretend to buy what ever they selling and get all thier details and then say " btw because you piss me off, im not buying into your scam or products, now take me off your calling list and everyone else in australia [***]" LOL.

Okay, i get calls from this number. what happens is that whenever my relatives call from abroad this number comes up and I dont get connected. I know whos calling so I call them back. I am sure someone trying to call you from outside australia and this number appears instead.

No guys. I got a call from these guys tonight. They claimed to be from the US. Told me I'd won a holiday but needed to pay $998. Wanted my credit card details. It's a scam!

Had 3 calls at 4am this morning. I hung up on the first 2 so I could sleep and the 3rd was from a private number but came straight after the first 2 so it had to be connected.
I'm pretty sure that it is the same number that Optus tried to ring me from over and over to change my phone plan.

Got a call from these [***] holes like 8 times no message left they call at 10 pm AEST hav'nt picked up the phone yet and my girlfriend is suspicious.

Dont answer these calls as they are coming from scammers. What they do is quite astonishing. When you answer your phone you give them your location, so they call several times to track your location. Once they have established what they think is your normal area they will then use this information along with other details you provide them with by answering your phone to use your account to make phone calls. So you receive the bill for them using there phone masked as yours. So if the number calls dont answer it just let it ring out.

This f*cking number is calling me every 5min, for the past 2 weeks.......it is annoying the hell out of me and I just want to block it, it's on my personal number aswell which is causing huge issues for me.

Is it calling your cell or your land line?  If the calls are to your cell put them in your contacts list and assign them the ring tone "no ring".  It won't stop the calls but it will make them easier to ignore.

This  ( 0285077801 }  has become prevalent in the last week and is appearing as a caller ID for my friend in Thailand . I am thinking it is the calls being re- routed to another provider to reduce costs for the company concerned . I know the Thai providor for my friend is   " 1  2  call  "  or  AIS   and have never had anything except the correct caller ID for about 2 years until now . I dont think its sinister , but is just an alternative for other companies to being bled by Telstra for calls coming into Australia . Simple , and if its cheaper for my friends I dont have an issue with this . Telstra rips us off badly and for overseas reception its really painful the way its charged back to me when travelling . Telstra wants it both ways and is very expensive with its  " DEALS  "  charging not only someone in Australia but me as well to receive their call .  Calling home I dont use an Aussie SIM I buy a local simcard and do it for 1/5 th of the price .Caller: Friend

THIS IS NOT A SCAM IT IS A REDIRECTION NUMBER USED BY MANY OVERSEAS PHONE COMPANIES TO REDUCE COSTS AND NOT USE TELSTRA DUE TO HIGH COSTS . EVERY OVERSEAS CALLER WHO USES A COMPANY THAT REDIRECTS WILL APPEAR AS

And yes its confusing trying to work out who called , but it saves them and overseas companies from trying to pay the rip off rates for redirection and " AIR " time in Australia , especially those from poorer regions , like Vietnam , Thailand , China and many other places

Yes, it might be but others report telemarketing calls as well so telemarketers/scammers may be using it as a spoof number to confuse victims.

Yes, my brother tried to ring me from Thailand and this is the number that came up on my mobile....so most likely if you have friends and relatives OS and using an os sim card, it is them trying to contact you. Note that it won't show up as their 'new' number.

Florida Holidays in Tampa FL (Scam) 'you have won a holiday!' are now using this number to fool people into thinking it is a call from a local, legitimate, business.  Tell them you are not interested and not to call you again.
