My friend received an unsolicited call from this number, some comapny called EIC and would not say who they were when I asked.

i think it might be sky calling i never paid mine,[***] em

i just found out who they are. (emerald isle collections) EIC po box 24 sorting office dundalk.they are a debt collection agency! i dont know why they are calling me  i dont owe them anything. anyway when they call they wont say what they want. So **** them

got a call from these guys asking me to tell them my dob and my address , i asked who they were and they said they couldnt speak to me until i confirmed my birthdate and address , i told them i would report them for phishing and nuisance calls if they called me again , never give your dob and address to anyone over the telephone !!!!! no company has the right to ask you for those details unless you have called a secure line to one of your service providers !!!!!

Next time they call answer and tell them you are reporting their number to com reg for annoying and harassing calls and be sure to tell them "they are not authorised to call your phone again"

once you tell them this make sure you ask the rep to verify that they heard you and to confirm that it was noted on the file they claim to have on you .

you wont hear from them again

I just had a voicemail from them... had a few funny calls from blocked number for the past week.

They said they were calling from EIC and would I call them back.  Found this online though

They certainly dont do that.

Yes it's a debt collection agency for Sky so if you get a call do what Jim above says as they just keep ringing and now in the evening, all for 50 euro that Sky say I own them for leaving their service. Key to this is not use Sky.
