CALLED ME AT 4:17PM CDT. I DID NOT ANSWER IT AND WHEN MY ANSWERING MACHINE PICKED IT UP, THEY HUNG UP WITHOUT LEAVING A MESSAGE

5/1 called 11:35  could here myself talking like an echo then they hung up

have been receiving call from this number every night for 2 weeks.  No voice on other end when I tried answering.  Caller ID reads out of area

I received two calls from 044-602-8008 on May 15, 2007.  My caller ID reads Unknown Name.  I can hear someone at the other end of the phone line, but they do not say anything.

Receive call almost everyday. So anoying when pickup the other hang up? Let me think that they want to check that anyone home???? "" for breaking in" or " checking that what time the owner home"" hell know what they will do???? For security reason please do the investigated and report to FBI for further investigation.

Called every afternoon.  I did not answer.  Very annoying.

Telephone rang three times.  
When we picked up, no one on  phone.

This call came in but no message on the answering machine

Called at 6:45 CDT (seems to be the pattern in that time zone). I didn't answer.

5:05 CDTcall, no message on ans. machine. Have called several times before; no message. I am on the "do not call" registry. These people are a pain in the a**.

Said hello heard echo then they hung up.

At 1:55pm, I received a call that came up as "unknown number" on my caller id. The person said that they were from Bell South and wanted to speak with the person who makes decisions regarding the phone bill.  I told them that person was not available and they asked if they could call back at a later time. Shortly afterward, I missed the phone call from 1-044-602-8008 while on another line.  Fifteen minutes later, I received a call from someone who also said that they were with Bell South and they wanted to speak to the person who makes decisions regarding the internet service.  This number came up on caller id as 1-866-764-1408.  I told them that someone had just called from "Bell South" and they apologized and said that they would call back at a later time.  Also, there was a beeping noise going on during this brief conversation.  Very strange.
I would not have related the "Bell South" calls to the 044 call, until I read that another person in this post had a similar experience.

10:15 a.m. in Mountain Time. Caller ID said "Unknown." I let the answering machine get it and they hung up before my short message was even completed.

Have gotten calls on several different dates.  When the machine gets it, they hang up and if I answer they hang on for a few seconds then hang up without talking to me.  Once when I answered, they didn't say anything or hang up.  I hung up then picked up the phone to make a call and couldn't get a dial tone.  The line stayed open several minutes before I could get a dial tone.  Very annoying

Also receive calls from this number regularly -- I'd say one or two times a week.  The number they're calling is my business line -- not sure if that's related at all.  I'm in Mountain time zone as well.

called twice within 30 minutes and i had told them on first call "not interested"...then they jusy call right back...ridiculous

GET CALLS FROM THIS #, NO ONE AT OTHER END,YOU CAN HEAR A DOOR CREAKING & BACKGROUND NOISE, WHEN THEY CALL THE NEXT TIME TELL THEM RITE AWAY THAT THE FBI IS NOW MONITORING ALL INCOMING CALLS.

I have received a number of calls from this number the last three months with the same results as other people have reported. If I answer they do not respond and hang up or I hang up after 5-10 seconds, if I do not answer there is no message left
