Received 5 or 6 calls from this number over a period of weeks. Have not answered, but don't see any upside in answering. How can I stop these calls.

If you have an iPhone, and iOS 7, you can block the number in the settings. If you have a different type of phone that is relatively new, try seeing if you can block it. I am getting harassed by them as well and this is how I fixed the issue.

So, I got a call from a very strange number today. 0646000000. Actually, this individual has called several times in the last few days. I have been ignoring it, but today he was being very persistent, so I answered.

A gentleman with a very thick accent from perhaps Africa read to me from a script informing me that my computer was causing many errors on their international server system and asked if I was aware of this and he was calling to help me out with any problems I was having with my computer.

At first I laughed, because little did he know he wasn't dealing with just some typical American moron. He was dealing with a very peculiar and unique American moron.

I answered in a very stern tone that the reason my computer was causing problems with servers around the world was because I was a government agent, working for the NSA and that my computer can do any damn thing it wants to! I had repeated myself several times so he could understand what I was saying.

I was a government agent and my computer system was part NSA sting operation, we knew what he was doing and we don't appreciate it very much. Our unamnned drones were currently tracking his exact position and authorities would be in touch very soon.

Each time I explained I got a little louder, angrier. After he finally understood that I was about to fire several Paveway missiles in his general direction he stopped talking.

I think at that very moment he [***] himself. He quickly and profusely apologized several times, and before I could tell him don't dare hang up on me, the phone went silent.

I assume either he hung up and ran like hell, or the missiles hit there mark.

    Unfortunately, I will never know.

Yes.  Good one.  That's exactly what I'm going to tell them when they call next time.   It's a  fact that the US has Naval vessels  in the Indian ocean.  I'm going to tell them that Indian scammers  are being targeted by US ships and that the NSA is monitoring all conversations from India to the US. I'll tell them that targeting information is being sent by the NSA to US ships and the launching mechanisms are in place.  I'll tell them they won't be happy when a Hellfire missile drops in on them uninvited.

When you stop and think about it, the Indian scammers are little better than terrorists; they try to extort money from you by use of threats and baseless fears.  They prey on the ignorant and they prey on women and elderly people.   They prey on the whole English-speaking world.

Sometimes I think a few Hellfire missiles on the buildings housing those scammers would do some good.

I keep getting calls too. I hit "prepend" and nothing came up, so I knew it wasn't even a valid area code. I had no intention of answering anyway, but now that I have read these comments, I know that's the right choice. Boy am I getting tired of these calls.
