I received a phone call at work from this number and the person said they were calling in regards to a Vodafone bill. Vodaphone would never have had my work phone number as I had a bill with them in 2006 and it is now 2012- I have have moved intersate and chaanged jobs a few times now.

I fixed the phone bill up with Vodafone years ago. I was confused when they said Vodafone as I have not even had a prepaid accoutnw ith them since this bill in 2006.

The woman asked me to confirm my address and date of birth and became frsutated when Iw ould not give my new number out to her. She threatened to continue calling me at work until I paid.

I have received 3 calls from this number asking for a Paula Johnson.

I told them each time that I did not know anyone by that name.

My wife has also received a call. Same thing,  she told them she didn't know anyone by that name either. Asked them if they were debt collectors and was told they couldn't tell us. She asked them not to call again.

I dont want these ANYMORE

On Friday of last week I received a call from this number and in thought is was an agency calling me for more work. So called them on the Monday and was told was for a company seeking money to a past loan or something back in 2004. Told this person I am Bankrupt and I can not pay this loan, was telling me to seek help from family to pay this money or me partner. Told them sorry I can't do anything. So after reading posts from this number of (07) 3017 3999 I now know this is someone after money. So waiting on call today from them. So please don't give out your details to this number.

You were in bankruptcy. End of story. The only debts that cannot be discharged are debts to the Government (taxes, fines, etc.) In some US States trying to collect a debt that was discharged is a crime. 2004? Depending on the State it would be likely time barred.

Received call from this number today 24th July. The caller requested to speak to my partner over a private business matter.
The caller would not divulge why they called me instead of my partner.

A lady just called me on my work phone... asked me to confirm by date of birth after she said she was from Lyon? Finance. Then when I answered she said "oh....that's not what I have here"...then she asked for my middle name, which I gave (shouldn't have) and she said "oh...I think I have the wrong George here...sorry for bothering you".

Too early in the morning and shouldn't have given my middle name, so just a warning to anyone else haha. Will be keeping an eye out on that number and will make a complaint if there's any further calls...especially at my workplace..

These people are scammers. They want all personal details but will not say who they are. Pests.

I can assure all that the number 07 3017 3999 is from Lion Finance as i once worked for them. They buy dept from other credit providers at a very low rate such as 20 cents in the dollar owed. They will also call from various mobile numbers. They are like blood hounds they wont give up.

Just had a second call in the past week from this company. They are chasing someone I don't know. When I say 'no such person here' they ask for my name and birthdate. I refuse and they get rude. What are the laws for these harassing calls?

Just got this call from 07) 30173999:

Her: "hi is that ....."
Me:" Who am I speaking to and where are you from?"
Her: "Megan. I will advise from where when you ID yourself"
Me:" No I won't & don't call back"
Her: "I will (here I cut the nasty toned so & so off by hanging up).

No one in their right mind should give out ANY personal info to anyone over the ph. My tip is to tell them:
A) You've logged their call & name
B) You will be reporting this and any further calls as harrasment calls.
C) to put what they want in writing,
& never call again.

I've had a couple of missed calls from this number so I decided to call back.  Upon calling the guy said he was from Lion Finance and asked me did I know my neighbour next door.  I asked how he got my number and he said he looked it up on the street directory.  He asked me to write a reference number down and give it to my neighbour and get them to call him.  I told him that I didn't feel comfortable and asked why he rang me.  He said that is what they do when they can't get in contact with them after they have sent letters and rang.  I do not approve of this method and spoke to my neighbour about it to let him know what had happened.  My neighbour said it must be a scam as he has no finance  with anyone.  During the conversation from the caller he never once mentioned that he was a debt collector. I only found out because of this site that it was a debt collector. My son got a call last night from someone on our home phone and he just hung up.  I'm assuming it was from the same people as he asked about our neighbour.

Just stop them please, it is harassment.

This number called both my neighbour and my home phone looking for the same person. They said it was for a private, legal matter. They harassed the receiver at both times seeking private information

My answering machine does a great job for me. I never answer the phone unless I know who is calling. I'm very clear "Leave your message and phone number or you are wasting your time". they never do but they try with some other number or silence number (from time to time) only to get  the same result. The trick is:  DO NOT BE CURIOUS...NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE YOURSELF !!!
