Calls every night & never leaves a message.

calls everyday on moblie without fail, morning/or afternoon, NEVER leaves a message, when you try to call back, the call is diverted, then rings and rings and is NEVER answered.

yep same as above.  calls everyday at all times on my mobile, NEVER leaves a message and when I try to call back it rings out and is never answered..

I get the same number calling my home constantly, they never leave a message and if I phone back it is either engaged, or they never answer, even if I call back straight after I receive the call from that number.
What could they possibly get from this??

Yes, I got a call from this number. Called back, busy signal.  Didn't leave a message.

just got a missed call from that number.. googled it before deciding whether to call it back or not.. after seeing all these comments, i'm definitely not calling them back.. everyone else should watch out too cos it probably costs a [***] load if you do call it back, it's obviously not someone you know so don't waste your money...

I have had a call from the same number for 2 days in a row. Morning and afternoon (aussie time)but when I tried to call back, it was diverted and then it went busy. I don't think it's from the other sources such as RSL Art Union or childrens hospital whatever. I guess it's from those people trying to get some information from you then they will try to stalk you or whatever. But now I know that the caller ID wasn't just me they bothering. I guess it's better to block that caller ID from any of our phone.

Called me as well.....tried to call them back, just constantly engaged.  Won't bother now after reading all these comments.

Had a missed call on my mobile, googled the number and arrived here.  Wont be calling back.  Could be a Telstra test call to sheck the service.  I know they do this with landlines.

This winner rang me and then left no message. I rang back thinking it could be one of my relatives on the sunshine coast and it was engaged. I Have checked 4 time now and it is always engaged. Im certain that it is a ripoff.

Pretty much the same as all the above.  I believe it maybe a scam of some sort.  As I'm on the Do Not Call Register it has made me suspicious, I have contacted the Register to investigate, after seeing all the complaints about the number on this site and others.

Same as above and ongoing; obviously the perpetrator is ignorant of the fact that we can see its phone number although caller ID remains unknown. Last call I identified the number then silently listened - this is definitely originating from a landline, and in the background I could hear something akin to several voices using speech patterns somewhat similar to that of a call centre or telemarketing company. As there have been many reports of various organisations using this number for cold face fundraising, strongly suggest this is in fact a generic telemarketing firm (probably small scale) using the same number for several different clients. I'm not even sure this number is originating in Australia. If we can find out the originator, does anyone know if then we can possibly prosecute under either Homeland Security Telecommunications or Privacy Acts?

Same problem here, they call every day! I just signed up for the do not call register, so hopefully they will go away. If it is a charity, they'll keep calling, this is from the do not call website:

I get calls from this number almost twice a week for the last 3 weeks. Have never called back as I'm sure its a scam. The number is unfamiliar, especially 075* area code.

I have had calls periodically for the last 3 months from this number, when I checked on the net, the nearest I can get to this caller is may be the Gold Coast. 7 566 80854 - 07 56... is Beaudesert.

I'm on the Do Not Call Register, have been for 3 years so they are not charities. They are just nuisances, pity the Government can't do something about them

this is a marketing company used by various charitable organisations.  i got a call from this number and spoke to the guy re vision australia.  then i called the general number for vision australia and they confirmed that the number that called me was bona fide and was the marketing company they use.
