Called at 713 am,and calling back does not work.

Called before 7:00 a.m. This can't be marketing call...... telemarketers have specific times in which they are permitted to call in various time zones. There are a lot of scams out there. Calling back is dangerous. They will have your number as a real number and use it for future scamming. I was almost a victim of this last year. Glad I heard about a similar event just before receiving my phone call.

Caller ID said out of area.  Not surprised.  I did NOT answer the call.

I received a call with caller ID 100-228-1797.  For fun, I answered.  A man with a southern Asian accent said he was calling about my Windows computer and that they were receiving reports that my computer was sending data to them.  I stopped him right there and said something like ,"No it is not.  This is a scam and you are trying to scam people out of their money.".  He was speechless.  I hung up and came to my computer to write this.  

A call came in from this number before 7:30 this morning.  A woman with a thick Indian accent stated (as Jim stated above) that they were receiving reports from my Windows computer and they are a service provider that could help. She said that I should go to my computer now and follow her instructions.  When I stated that I would not, that she called in on a strange number and that I don't have any idea who she really is, she told me to "Go to hell!".  I then said that I was fairly sure that a service provider would not say that and I hung up!

called THIS MORNING AND USED MY DAD'S NAME THAT DIED OVER TWO YEARS AGO.  Wanted my to open my computer to check windows.  Same as Tracy told me to go to hell, after I told him not to call me again and that I did not know who he was and where he is at. In return I told him to go to hell and hung up.  He called me back and started cussing at me.  I know that he only wanted to get to my computer.
