Said they were from Microsoft and that they were receiving errors from my system.  As soon as i said i wasn't running Microsoft on my computer and that there was no way they could be getting errors from my system they immediately hung up.

Said they were from windows and that they were receiving errors from my system. They wanted to install teamviewer to access my PC to fix problems. It is a scam, don't fall for it. Microsoft windows will never contact you via phone. Never give others access to your PC. If they persist ask for there contact number and tell them you will call them back.

Number should tell you the call's not from US, American prefixes don't begin with a 0 or 1 in the first or fourth digit. Pretty obvious it's a spoofed number likely coming from overseas. Fishy numbers like these are dead ringers for rotten call, usually with a foreigner on the other end.
