- TransplantGuyIt's a message from AT&T, sent to inform you of the status of your order or return, or to remind you to send your old phone back as part of the exchange.
In my case I had problems with a Motorola Karma phone, and returned it under warranty. AT&T is simply keeping people up to date with what's going on; they told me they'd received the old phone and it passed their warranty inspection. That tells me that the phone wasn't deemed "physically damaged" or something else, which would cost me as the warranty claim would be denied.
It's a good idea for a business to do that, but they should identify themselves so people don't just delete the messages, then call AT&T and wonder why they haven't been updated on the status of their order.
The posters assuming this is something nefarious need to loosen up their tinfoil hats, after they look up the definition of "nefarious".- Caller: AT&T
