Did not answer call. Tried to call back and got "call cannot be comleted as dialed". Where is this area code?
So this number called again and I listened to the whole scam, they transfered me around the tent they were calling from in Nigeria and told me they were the National debt Consolidation, That i had 100000.00 ion Cc dect and i wanted to consolidate, I listened to it and he told me would email me some info, havent seen the email but he did call back from another number 1-415-880-5599, It says Ca on the caller id. He told me had a bad connection and wanted my cell phone number, I told the guy, I didnt have one and he said he would call back, i am awaiting that call
Caller spoke with an accent; asked for my husband who wasn't here-- abruptly ended call. Our number is supposed to be unlisted and we are on the no call list.
Called my old phone number (my father has it) many times and always demands to talk to me. Won't leave a name or number nor will they take other contact information. Finally got really abusive to my father on the phone. I'd like to press charges when I can find out who's responsible.
Received numerous calls from this number before actually picking up the phone to an additional 113 number (didn't realize it was off by a number // 1800). Caller claimed to be part of a mortgage company to help me refinance. When I said I wasn't interested & to please remove me from their call list, the man caller said "Let me tell you something. Go f*** yourself." I would also like to press charges if the culprits are revealed.
Man called with Indian accent and asked for my husband. I said he was not home. He asked if I was the spouse. He said he was from the National Debt Center and spoke about consolidating debt. I told him I was not interested and hung up. He called back and I answered and he yelled at me for hanging up. I told him I was not interested again and he told me to shut up and hang up the line. I asked for a supervisor (knowing there was probably not one) and he yelled shut up again and hung up. This is definitely a scam of some sort.
I am also a T-Mobile customer and wonder if customers from other providers are getting calls like this? My calls from this number started 7/23. I will be filing a formal complaint to T-Mobile because I am also on a No-Call List from marketers. After reading all these comments, I will continue to reject the calls as they come in.
I saw this number on my land line caller ID. I suspected the area code, so I immediately went to the internet. I will know not to answer. Thanks! I had a phone number scam about a month ago on my T-Mobile cell phone as well. It was the one where it sounded like a fax machine.
received calls from this number as well as 113-982-1800 i pick up no one says anything and not able to call it back. i have sprint so it has gone farther that t-mobile
I just got a call from this number and turned it in to the DNC list. We are on the DNC list too. This person was trying to tell me they were from the National Debt Center. Please file complaints at www.donotcall.gov
139821900 is a Fake Caller ID number. It is a boiler room Indian worker in Bangalore India who is paid $1.11 USD / day to bug Westerners about MORTGAGE CONSOLIDATION LOANS! Oh of course he can not afford a mortgage so he believes he is doing you a favor. Well Mr. Chutney-Head doesn't understand American values of free-enterprise, privacy, humor, sarcasm, nor anything we stand for. So he gets frustrated with you as he thinks you are attacking his ethnicity (via his Hindi accent). Trust me they are all losers and our fat cat American Industrialists are so happy to have found the NEW American slaves over there. Its called OFFSHORE OUTSOURCING invented when the US president that came into office during the 2000/2001 (or 200/201 period as he would say) period. You're emergency room doctor's diagnostician is probably in the same room on a teleconference line diagnosing your heart arrhythmia! Then there's the Sears Customer Service girl you thinks we are very very rude! You feeling any more homeland security or American freedoms yet?
Just have that number blocked with phone company 'number blocking service' or buy a caller id unit that does it...
Are you really that ignorant or naive to think that this started in 2000/2001? Call center outsourcing to off-shore companies has been going on much longer than that.
If you want to know the real problem, it's low unemployment. Companies have to pay inflated wages (due to simple supply and demand, you know what that is, right?) to compete for competent agents. This increased cost of doing business would also drive up costs, this is a way to try and keep the price increase in check. Since the demand far outgrew the supply (of qualified competent agents), these companies felt their only option was to contract the work to a place where the supply is great. Unfortunately, their skill level is low, as compared to most US call centers.
I'm not saying contracting with these companies is appropriate, or even useful, but I am saying it has been going on for a while. I suppose if you want to blame anyone, they would have to be blamed for a growing economy, since that is the true culprit. I, personally, would rather wait longer on hold to get to the right person than be answered right away by someone who has no clue, or, as you stated, can't appreciate our sense of humor, sarcasm, etc.
