Got this phone call from this number. He has an indian accent and claims that this number (my mobile phone!)has been selected to receive a free home monitoring system. He did not know my name.  I told him that I am on the do not call list and not to call back. I received one from the same guy last night on my home phone saying that my number had been selected to receive a free fire extinguisher. He asked for a name I carried years ago.

Asian woman called my cell stating I was among twelve people selected in my area to receive a free wireless security system. No name given so I told her not to call again and hung up. Minutes later my wife's cell rang showing the same number but we did not answer. Earlier this afternoon I got a spam text on my phone to "opt-in" to receive an "ad a day" via text to my cell. It was addressed to "Matt" which is not my name. Looks like someone got into Verizon's DB since all my phones are on their network.

I got a text on 2/22/11 from 225-532-9320 asking if I needed a quick loan for up to $1500.  As it suggested I replied back "stop" to be removed from their list.  Then last night (2/24/11) I got a phone call from 116-214-2517  (except it showed up in call ID as 1-162-142-517).  I did not answer and there was no message.  Maybe the text and phone call are related.  Either way, whomever is texting and calling should be raped and then drowned because it is annoying.
