121-123-0201

constant calling

Got a phone call from 121 123 0201 saying that I have a problem with my computer and that he was from Microsoft to help. This is a call that also show unavailable above the number. They have called many times but I have ignored but finally answered it. Previously l've gotten a call like this and was scammed out of $300 from a different number in which I reported last year. I asked the person how do you know about my computer and told him that this is a scam. He said to prove it. I told him not to call me any more and hung up. I called back and got a listing of ext. for different services offered. One other number listed unavailable is 218 520 4673 that have called.

same as above only from windows asking me to go to my computer .he hung up before i could get there but suspected scamming anyway

I was approached by a non english speaking person from this number telling me they were MICROSOFT and that they were receiving errors and virus symptoms from my computer.....I said no I have no trouble with my new computer and that this is a scam.  I hung up immediately.

I phoned number back and the answering company was CANYON RANCH....

I would never answer any number that begins with a non-existent area code "121".  These are scam callers, who use their computers to invent area code.  Don't answer.  I just put a block on their number.  It's amazing how few calls I actually get, after I use my Panasonic phone to block unwanted calls.  One other thing... we recently took on Con-cast as our service provider for cable, phone and internet.  It was only after we signed up with Con-cast that a flood of these types of calls began.  We will be changing over to a less controversial cable/phone/internet provider as soon as a more legitimate company comes into our neighborhood (they are laying cables in our city, as I write this).  Something about Con-cast that is fishy, regarding these calls being able to hit us just as soon as the cable is hooked up.  Con-cast does absolutely nothing to protect their clients/consumers from these predators.  Check out Consumer Reports campaign to force cable companies into compliance--and sign their petition!
