Computer protection

Fake computer protection, you mean - this number is not from the US.  It's a spoofed number, meaning the caller doesn't want you to know who or where they really are.  In any case, not a legitimate US number.

The best, and usually only protection you need for your computer is common sense.  However, if you, like me, work from home occasionally, your network access might require you to have AV and Firewall installed.  If this is the case, then Microsoft Internet Security provides all you need for Windows 7.  To my knowledge it's not available for 8 yet.  If you are using 8, and have enough juice, McAfee is fine.  If not, you can use something like AVG or Avast.  

No matter what your configuration, another tool you should always have is either Adaware or Malware Anti-Bytes.  MAB is the better of the two, but no detection software will get them all so having 2 is fine.
