- Adam replies to concernedI was just called by this number, but I didn't answer as I did not recognize the area code or number. Immediately after the ringing stopped I searched the area code 121 and it was from England. I do know some people in England but we never talk by phone. This is apparently a scammer. An elderly man who lives in my town was had by a scammer recently who claimed to be a computer repair technician. I wonder if it is from the same scam group. Anyway, also be wary of auto insurance claims. Someone called claiming I had been in fender bender with them which never happened, and that it happened in sun city, AZ, somewhere I have never been. The insurance guy wanted my social and my policy number but claimed he couldn't look up the info on who was filing the claim against me and also acted wicked sketch in other ways. If anyone gets a call like this, do not give away any information, it can be used for identity theft and to file false claims against you. While you can prove this to your insurance company, the process takes a long time and will likely aise your premiums for a long time.
