- Homer Simpson replies to annoyed| 1 replyIf you're on the DNC list, that should tell you your call isn't covered by it then, meaning it's a scammer, bill collector, fundraiser, or political. With an invalid number in the US, odds are you've got a scammer with a spoofed number. Don't answer your phone for unknown numbers, and maybe shut down your answering services to them and telemarketers will stop bothering you.

- ReginaGot 2 calls telling me they are Windows support, I ask them if they traced this to my computer how did they get my phone number and what is the IP address of my computer.
They shut up of course because they did not have it.
Also since I dont have Windows office installed so I knew it was a scam. If they call hang up it is a total scam - Anonsome creepy woman left this message on my answering machine. "hellllo~ ................. hellllllllooooooooo...................................... hellooooooooooooooooooooooooo.........................................."
- Sacto SallyPick my phone up and inadvertently hit the answer key. Ended call immediately. Do not call doesn't mean any thing, get quite a few daily. On ABC World News Tonight had a segment on robo calls and that some carriers offer free call blocking. I'm definitely checking into that.

- humblemasterI'm a PC tech - these idiots called the WRONG guy. i had tons of fun with this Indian bozo. He has you open your PCs event log from the Run command, and look at all the errors on your PC. I don't care who you are, you will always have errors at some time, and the log he sends you to is the log that filters only stop errors and warnings (I use this legitimately all the time). Depending on how old your machine is, it'll recored every one. Mine had 2,300+. He promptly told me these were all viruses. ("OH MY!" I exclaimed as my wife sat there roaring with laughter). Then he had me type in www.supremofree.com (which I didn't - and as researched later was a legit remote tools company), at which time I said "hold on, somebody at the door" and hung up. he called back, leaving a flustered message to "please pick up, sir..." Then called back on 15-875-4443 - I also ignored. Put both on call blocking. Added a lovely bit of levity to my evening!
(Seriously - their scam is unknown - but they want access to your PC, and after that, they can do wherever they want from encrypting it, and holding your data for ransom, to a simple "We got the cure for your ex$pensive non-existant viru$e$. These people should be jailed, but owing to the extradition issues, I'm sure they never will be. Hm.)- Caller: Indian Support Sammer
