At 6:30 in the morning (on my sleep in day) I got a call from a gentleman claiming to be from 'my' computer company.  The gentleman had an extremely strong accent and reported to want to help me fix my computer. When I declined his inappropriately timed offer he became very rude making a long spitting noise. I would love to find the ownership of this scamming and blow a raspberry in his ear at some God forsaken hour of his morning!

I received a call from the same number. He claimed he worked for 'My Computer Company' and to fix my Windows and also asked to fix my computer. I said I'm good and goodbye but before I could hang up the guy raised his voice saying I need to fix my head and that it's my father speaking.. What is wrong with people??? I've heard of people getting scammed by the same thing and it makes me furious knowing people are out there doing this..

My dad received a call requesting a credit card number to refund money for a service they could no longer provide. They called me as I have his card numbers and when I said to send cheque and to give me their name and I would contact them . She just said "think your smart" and hung up!

I had a hard time understanding who he said he was working for because of his strong east indian accent. He said they were receiving error and warning reports and wanted me to do something on my computer while on the phone so they could "talk to" my computer. Also ther was a strange sound coming from his end sounding like a computer voice saying the word "what" just before he began to speak each time. I said "No, we're fine , thanks" and quickly hung up and pulled my ethernet cable for 20+ minutes since my phone and internet both come thru cable, I didn't know what he was doing while we were talking.

A guy called & claimed he was from some computer company & wanted to update Microsoft windows. Because I live in a rural area whereAT&T's signal is not the greatest, either my phone dropped Hus call he hung up.  Just as well because the next time he  calls, his number will be blocked. I'd that doesn't work, I'll turn him in!

Just got a call from "Alex" - with a thick offshore accent.  I'm fairly certain I taught him some new english words.....

Wow "Alex" I'm so glad you called.....my computer has been acting funny lately, so I'm glad that you were able to detect the issues all the way across the world - and find my phone # to call me and help me out. What a great guy. 123-337-8888 seemed like a totally legit phone # too. #scammer

I thought I got an unsuccessfull call from our US parent company yesterday as the number began with 001-233. I tried to look up that area code on the internet and found this site. The caller never came through yesterday and when the number called again today I picked up the phone without any presentaiton and sang Happy Birthday to You.

No reply, - it was either disconnected or hung up.

    He-He!

I got a call in the afternoon - saw a strange area code, something which I know is telemarketing, so I did not answer it.  They did not leave a message, but the message on my voice mail is in French so let them figure that one out.  LOL  i work at home so get crazy calls from time to time.  It makes for a good laugh from time to time.
