- mjs3| 6 repliesScam Alert! They tried to convince me that my computer had a virus and it was contacting their server. When I asked the name of their company, they would only say "PC Technical Support". After I asked them repeatedly what their real company name was, they hung up. Caller ID said "Unknown Name".

- PakReceived call also on a phone only used for emergencies (family only has number), no message was left but also another unknown call a few minutes before from 4048527100 when I googled it showed others have been checking this number too. Might be related?
- mcalReceived call, but there was no one on the line.
- gthackNumber called my phone which has a new number today. I didn't answer. About an hour or so later, it called my husbands phone. He answered and the caller didn't reply at first. After again saying "hello," the caller responded, "I'm sorry."and, disconnected. I found it strange that neither of us had ever received a call from thus number until today.
- JanyceGot a call from this # just as I was about to get onto the highway. I pulled off 2 exits down to see if it were my son. This doesn
t seem like a legitimate number. I think this number call on my cell yesterday but all the numbers were not there & my phone still rang. The number yesterday was: 236-526-522 My cell is an Alabama # and I live in Illinois. I'm sure some type of scam going on. - LauraI just received one as well and when I answered, they hung up
- Yes, It's A ScamReceived a call just now from 236-526-522 on my cell; when I answered, they claimed to be from "PC Technical Support." This is a well known scam; the callers are trying to trick you into allowing them remote access into your PC. They may also claim to be from Microsoft. If you get one of these calls, hang up!
- Caller: PC Technical Support
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Linda replies to mjs3Just received the same phone number 3 times. first time identifying themselves as PC Technical Support.
Kept them on the phone for a minute asking him questions -- what operating system, what brand of computer, etc.
Told me Windows 7. Told him he was a liar and scammer then blew a whistle in his ear.
He called back just to be a little s""" and just kept saying hello hello hello. Told him i would be reporting them and hung up.
They called my cell phone. - miss maxineThis # called my cell phone, which is a prepaid phone. When I googled it I found this message board. If it is a scam, jokes on them because I don't even own a computer anymore. I use my work computer only for work while I'm at work.

- Sagi50 replies to mjs3| 2 repliesI just received a phone call from this number 236-526-522 telling me that for the last two weeks they had detected from Microsoft Technical Support, that my computer had a virus and was transmitting corrupted files.
The first person that called had very broken English, so I asked for someone that spoke English to call. Second call came in from an unknown number, and he repeats what the first person said.
I told him that I would ask my son who is an IT technician to check it out and immediately they hung up.
Be careful of these individuals, as they could be asking to get into your computer to get all your personal information. - livSo I had to look up this number and I started to freak out thinking maybe they can hack into my so they can't right? and also they are like we are with mac support I'm like no you aren't they are like ya we are I was like you must have the wrong number then and he started to stutter and said I got it off of something... I'm like I don't have a mac and they hung up. I hope they get someone catches them cause this is bull.... Go get a life!
- 123456765432lol they tried asking for my info,my age, and some other things unrelated to computers. i am a teenage girl and the guy tried to sweet talk me into giving my facebook, email and other social networking sites. this was rediculious. be warned that anyone in your family can receive the call, like children who are unaware of these scams and are willing to give the information without your concent.

- CCI just got the same SCAM phone call. I have gotten it a couple times before and told them they were FOS before hanging up on them. This time I played along a little and asked which computer; which version of Windows is it running? He told me Windows 7. It confirmed for me then that it was a scam because none of my computers have Windows 7 or ever have. I told him that and started telling him off until he hung up on me. Sad thing is, I could hear a bunch of callers in the phone room around him saying things to their victims like "Well, you should be good to go now. Glad we could help you out!" I feel bad for the unsuspecting people who fall for this garbage, probably elderly people the majority of the time. Scammers have no conscience. I just don't understand, with all the government phone bugging, why can't they catch these creeps?
- Caller: Tech Support
