- annoyed| 5 repliesJust received a call from this number..came up as unknown name..they hung up before voicemail kicked in..I have no idea about the 123 area code
- Badge714 replies to annoyedPhone number is spoofed (faked) In North America there are no area codes from 000 to 199. In ALL North American phone numbers the prefix cannot start with a '0', or a '1'. Scammers use these phone numbers because many service providers cannot block them as they are invalid phone numbers.
- DoNotEngage"Hai! This is Jamessss, and I am called because you have wireses in your compoooter."
This is the typical scam, aimed at Windows users. Hang up!- Caller: Not 'Merican
- BGS"Hello this is David calling from the Microsoft Corporation"
...yeah, no.- Caller: allegedly Microsoft, obviously fake
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Godzilla-9| 1 replyWhen anyone calls from India saying your computer has issued error messages and has been infected with a virus pretend to go along while they give you instructions. In the mean time look up Hindu curse words. They will appreciate you took the time to curse them in their language. LOL When asked I tell them the message reads "you are a chootya heromnee."

- Person who got a call| 1 replyCaller ID said "Twin Cities, MN". I did not pick up. Not sure there is a city named "Twin Cities". They did not leave a message.
- BradThis yahoo with the heavy "Indian" accent called this morning. Told me he was from Microsoft and my computer was sending a lot of 'error messages,' that he needed me to go to my computer and turn it on. When I told him what I thought his Mama did for a living, he hung up.
- Caller: Microsoft
- MissTiaaI just got a call from "Microsoft Corporation." This person said he was from Microsoft Corporation and that my computer was sending malicious messages to their satellites. I own a Mac not a Windows PC. I told him that 3 times and he insisted that I had a Windows PC. So I played along with him and told him to basically [***] off. Then adorable little me hung up.

- frustrated| 6 repliesI have received calls from the same number (123-993-6319) over the last couple weeks. I am reasonably certain this is a telephone scam about computer issues and I would like to see whomever it is making these calls stopped! They once called after my husband and I were sleeping for the night and the person on the other end said they knew we had a computer problem and they wanted to help resolve it...my husband hung up on them..they always hang up before the voice mail kicks in.
- Barney Rubble replies to frustrated| 5 repliesIt's perfectly understandable you want the calls stopped, however, it's highly unlikely anyone on here is the culprit, or will see your response. The quickest way to get the calls stopped is by shutting down your answering machine and ignoring any unknown numbers, or as suggested, to get a call blocker. This isn't a valid number in North America, so you may be unable to. The best defense is to not answer and just let the phone ring until they give up. Sooner or later, they'll give up calling a number that has no answer.
- Barney Rubble replies to Barney RubbleThe prefix should be enough of a hint the call stinks from the start and should be ignored.
- bp replies to Barney RubbleIf you shut down your answering machine, you also can't get calls that you need to get.
Also, while you can block a number, a scam artist just keeps changing the numbers. Also, you can't block every number that calls, because you probably aren't going to be sitting by your phone 24 / 7. - DiCaller ID showed Twin Cities, MN and the number 6-123-993-6319. I knew it was going to be a scam of some sorts but it is a first with this information showing on caller ID. He said he was from Microsoft and I had computer problems. I said I had no computer and he said then I had a laptop. I said no. He asked if anyone I knew had a computer and I said yes, my grand daughter in another state did. He then hung up on me. I can play their silly game too. And I hope no one falls for their nonsense.
- Caller: Twin Cities, MN
- Call type: Prank
- Billy DI trolled them and got them to spill the beans, they are from Dhaka, Bangladesh. He wanted to sleep with my mother and then cut my dick off. Classy fellows.
- NCSong replies to Godzilla-9Brilliant...and incredibly funny.
- LJP replies to Barney Rubblewell stated!! I never answer questionable phone numbers
- Steve| 1 replySame as most. Got the call with "TWIN CITIES, MN" as the caller ID. I answered. No reply. I said "start talking!" and then recorded message with an American sounding female voice said "Hanging up." Fine. Annoying as can be!!
