Got a call from these scammers saying my computer was giving malicious file warnings and needed to be fixed.  I told them that the FBI knew who they were and I had their IP address and they hung up.  Idiots could no speak-ee EEEnwish.

The area code alone has scam written all over it.

Because, in the United States, if the first digit you dial is a "1," the phone company expects you to dial exactly either 7 or 10 more digits!  (Here, there are only 9 more digits.)  I don't know why most people don't seem to understand this.

I received a call from the 1244749999 the guy with an Indian like accent said his name was William & that he was calling from  Windows Technical Department & that my computer sent them a message that it had downloaded a virus. William then told me to follow his instructions. I told William I don't know if you're telling the truth & then I hung up.

Didn't answer but caller ID reads:
6-124-474-9999
We've had probs with the fake Microsoft techs calling us. We act confused & tell them we only have an apple computer.

I just love these off the wall area codes that come up with these bogus calls. In this case it was 124. In the case of an alleged political call, it was 200.

Had a call from 6-124-474-9999 a few days ago with the Indian accent guy calling with the same story as Medium Poppa. I said I wasn't interested and hung up. Now I get the call every day and there is no reply when I answer. Now that I know it's the same people, I won't be answering anymore!

Been getting calls from the indian accent guy from this number. I dont answer but he calls like 2 or 3 times everyday. Anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of this scam?
